Dang it,, I just downloaded the World of Warcraft demo.. and it's really cutting into my ps3 playing time it would be so darn cool if WoW had a port to the PS3.

If you google this, it looks like there has been "some" talks w/ blizzard, but nothing to get ones hopes up.

Chock this one to my PS3 wish list.

WoW on consoles would suck. you would get massacred by everyone on their computers using mods.

the server worlds would need to be separated, thats for sure. but i must respectfully disagree.. I think WoW for the PS3 (x360) would be one of the most popular games to date.

Lol what? Wow doesnt support mods...not without getting banned/winned by blizzard. It supports addons which don't really give you that much of an advantage. If it had keyboard/mouse support it would work, but would honestly be a waste of time porting since almost any decent computer can run Wow.

Ya i played wow for 2 months a year ago and i can honestly say although the game was fun it basically took away my entire. I then relized that games should be played for fun and shouldn't be addicting so i stopped playing. Ever since then i've become a blue belt in karate, got a job, almost a honour roll student (still working on my grades:P), got a ps3, and i have a gf:) whos into gaming. So ya i say don't even think about wow or else your life will be ruined

Personally, i did love the game. I played for over a year and a half and was into one of the top raiding guilds and all...but then i realized. I spent so much time on that game, over 100 in game days played on that. That's right, over 2400 hours just on one game. It was one of the best games i've ever played, but the thing is. It's serious dedication, i mean you literally have to put your life into it...and think about all the decisions you make. When you're at school, you schedule when you're going to play this game, or when you're at work, you think about what you want to accomplish tonight. I mean i could go on for hours just exploring places. The game itself is definetely the most in-depth world ever created in a video game. However, would i wish it was on a console? Definetely, i mean the controls and all would be a little awkward...and the customization of characters and this and that would be a little difficult, but if they somehow optimize or adjust the game to be compatible on the powerhouse of the PS3, and also no monthly fees, i'd probably buy it. For now, i'm good with playing some good ol' COD4 :P.

Man I played WoW for over 2 years, leaving it twice to only come back 4 months late. That's usually the time I can stand without feeding my addiction. It's been 5 months so far and going strong, but I always check for videos and patches to see what's happening in the game. WoW is one of the best games I played in my entire life and one I will never ever forget about, but it sure takes your life away and you must realise if a piece of pixel (gear) is worth all the days of effort you put into it.

On topic, I don't think it would even work on a console machine, or if it does, it wouldn't be that great to care.

umm mods are the same as addons, you are thinking about hacks and bots.

separating the player base wouldnt be enough either. encounters are tweaked in order to take UI mods into account. unless they disable them all around, they would need entirely different coding for the encounters on pcs and consoles.

not only that, some people (including me) would complain that console users were getting a version of the game that they would like to have, and that is one without ui mods and addons. i hate the fact that you need to run them in order to keep up. i always refuse and use only a handful of aesthetic mods, but still, i pay the price for it.

Do you have any idea whatsoever how hard it would be to play WoW on any console?

Sony HOME is going to be kinda like WoW.. just a lot of people walking around doing "stuff". Only in WoW you have some fun quests to complete :)

Yes, WoW for the ps3 would not be the same as WoW for the PC. But it would still be a blast just due to the fact most of us love the medieval Lord of the Rings stuff.

Walking around in the WoW world is beautiful. The displays are awesome, I know the PS3 could match it.

As for how addicting it is.. umm, not sure how to fix that one for other people. Just when that little flag goes off in your head, shut it down.. do some push-ups and date someone :)

As a recovering WoW addict, I certainly hope it doesn't. I know my account is frozen and it's extremely tempting to purchase that $40 battle chest thing I saw a few days ago at my mall's Gamestop. I keep telling myself "NO, YOU WANNA GO THROUGH THAT CRAP AGAIN!?" lol. But honestly, I feel I'm a stronger person than before, so even if I did, I wouldn't be "as addicted". I know what's more important in life and I've been clean for about 11 months. WoW definitely a fun game, but I only suggest it if you know your limits and go in thinking most people are selfish, epic-hungry idiots. Get yourself a good guild and you can have some real fun in WoW.
