yes it lacks some games but ONE or TWO games and FF12 and GOD of war 2 will last anyone for a while.

People take review scores to much to heart. Some people make jugdements over a game just because of a score. They dont even read the review.

im getting a ps3 on october 5th, ill probably get lair, but i usually play games with online PandaSlayer

U should get Warhawk aswell when you get your PS3 :)

thats bull. its not like before the reviews came out, people were like "OMG tiz game got a 6 = NO WAI tiz game got a 10 = YEESH!" plenty of games get low scoring reviews, and they turn out to be huge hits. if you want, you can let gamespot and ign run your life, but me, i prefer to not.

It has nothing to do with denial. Some people can think for themselves (Those of us who don't care what reviews say) & some people are too blank headed to think for themselves (That would aim in your direction). You see everyone has their own opinion, but a true gamer doesn't need reviews to decide where he/she will head in the gaming world. True gamers know what's good and knows what's bad because they themselves decide without any outside thoughts from reviewers or bashers.

Couldn't have said it better myself. If I went solely on reviews I'd be a VERY bored gamer right now. If a game comes out and I think it looks cool and I think I'll like, well, so far I never was disapointed in my choices and yes I'm still getting Lair despite what people want me to think and I was in the Warhawk beta and I freakin loved it and that brings me back to why I don't listen to reviews.

Well theres a demo of HS, so if he played it and doesn't like it then thats his opinion, I see where your comming from a little bit, but people that say reviews mean nothing are silly, because they are important, Nobody wants to spend 60$ on a game that is average at best. I'm not getting those games either because of the reviews, so I guess I need to play the games as well then? I have played the HS demo alot, I thought it was decent at best (graphics animations look good but the rest of the game worried me) even though I have never played Lair, I wasn't impress with what I saw, Personally I think UT III and RCTOD are the only games that interest me this year for the PS3, Next year is when the heavy hitters come out.

people that go by reviews...just wait for gamespot and that would settle it for you....

people that dont go by reviews and actually look into games themselves (the wiser option imo) and if it looks good to you then buy and enjoy.

Look at the MGS series reviews... most get reviews ranging from 8.0 to 9.0. When you look at the sales, it's almost as if the games were 9.5 to 10.0. Sales tell you if a game is good or not, not reviews.

Dont get me wrong I have a ps3 but honestly the time really ISNT that great to own one, there is not one title out there that makes the console worth a purchase over its rivals and theres probably about 3 games coming out within the next 3 months that just make it about worth while to own one.

And the person saying "sales tell you if a game is good or not" lol really no it doesnt, fifa outsells pro evo all over the world, dont make it a good game. Endless amount of movie tie ins will sell millions, dont make them a good game, what a ridiculous thing to say.

The ps3 will no doubt be an amazing system to own but right now its really not.

Too bad Lair, Warhawk, and Heavenly Sword have been getting lackluster reviews.-Sniper99-

Lair? Yes. Warhawk? It got a 9 at 1 up and was hyped AA. All the rest I've seen have been AA scores. HS? It got bad scores from Edge (who IIRC gave gears a 8.), IGN (which was reviewed by a guyt who gave Godhand a 3 while almost very other game site/mag gave it between 6-8 out of 10), and PSM (I think). Gamepro gave it a 9, tilt gave it a 9, Nextgen ireland gave it a 9, almost every other site or mag gave it a 9.
