Alright, so I got my PS3 like three months ago, and the entire time I've been complaining about the lack of games for it, which don't get me wrong, there is still a serious lack of games, though that is soon to be fixed this holiday season, but I've just now realized that each good game for the PS3 isn't just good, it's really good. I own a 360, which I love as well, and while it has tons of games, there aren't too many that I get REALLY into. So far, every game I own for the PS3 has been a spectacular experience.

When I got my PS3 I bought Motorstorm with it, and had a blast, logging 40 hours on the thing in the first few weeks. It's still one of, if not my favorite racing game ever made. Then I got Ninja Gaiden: Sigma a couple of weeks later, which I had beat on the original Xbox a few years back, but it felt like a completely more awesome, and less frustrating experience on the PS3.Recently, I bought Warhawk, which is like almost like an open world online versus game, with tons of different options, and is currently one of my most played online games. And now, just yesterday, the game that really blew me away was Heavenly Sword. This game wasthe game that really made me realize how awesome the PS3 and it's games are.My God, this game feels like an action movie with extra action. Damn, it's awesome, the gameplay, the gorgeous graphics, the greatest charactersever in a game, and the moving story all come together to make one of the best experiences on the PS3.

And that's just four games compared to the other great ones PS3 already has, and will be getting. I'm not saying I like it more than the 360,I'm just saying I think they're both worth the price in whole... I'm totally glad I decided not to sell my PS3 a few weeks ago, and anyone contemplating it chould reconsider, though I do recommend the 360 as well, keep your PS3, it's one beast of a console.

I don't know why I like my PS3 better than my Xbox 360, but I do.

even the interface (xmb) which I thought was sloppy at first I've come to like more than the blades. I still wish I could file downloaded stuff under demos, network games, and psone games so there wasn't just a giant list, but its a small complaint.

Sony's first party games & better japanese support will make the PS3 a better system for gamers in the long run, even if it might never surpass xbox 360 in total sales.

I exchanged the 360 for the PS3 at Best Buy & it's one of the best choices I've ever made. I got the 360 solely for Oblivion & the system scratched the hell outta the game. Once I heard that Oblivion was coming to the PS3 with enhanced graphics & such, my next move became apparently clear. Besides, I grew up on Atari & Nintendo, but I'm a Sony man at heart.

I just got my PS3 last Friday after my 2nd 360 died. Although I did love my 360 games, I'm not in love with the hardware. Anyways, from the time I have spent with the PS3 already, I am loving it all around. I'm very impressed. I only have Heavenly Sword so far, but I'm looking forward to a bunch of games that are coming out soon.

See wow ppl realize that ps3 has great games that you can't get anywhere else. I've been a very happy gamer lately with the release of the trio (Warhawk, Lair, Heavenly Sword). I beat and enjoyed Lair, Warhawk is great fun and has been fixed, Heavenly Sword is just brimming with personality. Add to that I'm still playing Oblivion and will probably continue to fall back on it when I have nothing else to play. It only gets better too with the holiday season, I think we are getting like 5-6 games this holiday. Wait let me count (1. UT3, 2. Uncharted, 3. Orange Box, 4. CoD4, 5. Assasin's Creed, and probably a choice out of other games). I have never had more fun as a gamer and I own over 60 ps2 games and already I have enjoyed my ps3 time more.

After getting my PS3 I have never been disapointed with the system. Now I have been finding a ton of PS2 games that I could never get into are now a blast to play. With this console I think I will be entertained with games until well past the end of the life cycle of the PS3.

I got the ring of death on my 360 about 3 weeks ago. So, I decided to stick with my PS3 exclusively. Now I don't know if that was the right decision. I mean, I love the XMB, the SD card slot, and the software updates, but in every cross platform game that has come out so far, the 360 has thebetter graphics. The 360 has better textures and brighter colors, whereas the PS3 has dark, bland colors and far less texture detail. I don't know if it's the crappy GeForce 7800 graphics card in the PS3, or if it's the developers. Also, I read in GameInformer that the reason for the GTA4 delay is that the PS3 is so hard to program for. I traded my 360 copies of Oblivion and Dirt for the PS3 versions, and they both look texturless, dark, and bland on the PS3.

I guess the PS3 is doomed to only get crappy 360 ports. I don't think there will ever be a game that is programmed from the ground up to make use of the PS3 hardware. Also, the sixaxis control is garbage. I hate motion control in games anyway. I prefer the good ol' thumbstick. Plus, they need to remake the PS3 controller and do away with those aweful R2 and L2 triggers. It's a really awkward feeling position for my fingers, and they feel like they are going to slip off. That's why I usually stick with the 360 for driving games. Maybe I should have traded the PS3 for a 360 Elite.

So, in short, you're saying that a company screwed you, you weren't happy, and you were willing to repay them for something that should not have malfunctioned in the first place?

Brilliant.

I'll tell you this: if it's having this many problems now, what's it going to be like in 4 years after heavy gameplay?

No thanks, I don't want that hanging over my head every time I reach for the on switch.

I used to own a 360 and play it. It had a failed HDD with freezing followed by 3 red lights. From last Nov 24th until July 07 I owned both PS3 and 360. Then I suddenly realized "why put up with the 360? Why pay to play online? Why when the PS3 has great games, a BR player, WiFi, rechargable controllers, and is totally reliable, and Halo 3 would be the only real reason for keeping the 360? So in July I Ebayed the unit MS sent me to replace the broken one. I then bought a second PS3 and we are ecstatic with our PS3's. We all love playing Madden, Motorstorm, Resistance, Stardust, and now Warhawk and High Stakes Poker, and other game as well.

I love how MS extends the warranty to 3 years and admitts a 35% failure rate and other malfunctions with their systems and there's still people like you who fail to realize a problem just because you are 1 of the lucky ones not to have it break. My brother in law has had a few and I had a failed HDD and then 3 red lights. They fail, and a lot of them too and they nearly all have freezing occasionally to a lot issues as well.

I'm gonna drop a bomb on you guys. Metal Gear Solid 4 has a very STRONG chance of coming out in december. Wanna know how? the TGS site has it listed by Konami as its release date being Winter 2007. 2nd piece of evidence is that Metal Gear Online isn't gonna be a standard game and is gonna be packaged with MGS4, as revealed by Konami early this morning (last night in japan) Seeing as how MGO is set to release this winter in japan, and that MGS4 is getting a global worldwide release, its very possible.

Also, the big shocker at the end of the demo. Konami said yesterday that there was a huge surprise in store for the media when they got to the end of the playable demo that the press would play tomm. Now this huge surprise is probably going to be either an announcement of that same demo they played to be released on the PSN either tomm. or within the next few weeks/months. However, the only piece of the puzzle regarding MGS4 and its release is still a timeframe for release, something that may very well be at the end of the trailer. Mybet isthat this December, Snake will be paying us a Christmas visit :)

I traded my 360 copies of Oblivion and Dirt for the PS3 versions, and they both look texturless, dark, and bland on the PS3.

100% agree. Xbox 360's textures are the ones that are usually allways darker and a lot mor bland.
