All it was is a character creator? Really? WTF?! Was expecting an actual mission. Like most demos?

If you actually looked at the description it says what is is. They did this for SR3 as well.

First, I never played the SR3 demo. Second, I only read descriptions if I'm unfamiliar with the game/series. Since I had played SR3, I figured playing the SR4 demo would be fun (can't afford the real game). Meh... Oh well, live and learn I guess...

You're not missing much. It's better then SR3 though, but it really feels more like an expansion pack for SR3 then it does a new game. I'm not saying it sucks, but for me it was a little bit of a let down, however if you're a big SR fan then I'm sure you'll like it.

I'm much more of a GTA fan so with GTA V coming out in two weeks, it just takes the wind out of SR's sails for me, everytime I'm playing all I can do is think about how much more I'm going to enjoy GTA. Because of this I decided to shelf it till I run into a dry spell, and with so many good games coming out for the PS3 and PS4, it'll probably be sometime in mid to late 2014 when I get back to playing it.

So if I were you I wouldn't worry about getting it right away, but hay, that's just my opinion. I do agree though, there should be a real demo, not just a character creator. I guess for this game if you want to demo it you'll have to rent it. You could watch some YouTube videos, but that just don't cut it for most gamers.

its not supposed to be a demo. its exactly what it says it is. with that said, i can say that personally, it was my goty. i highly doubt anything will top it for me, since unlike most games these days, its main focus is FUN. and it accomplishes this so well! its a rare thing these days and its why this is one of my favorite series. i just hope the series doesn't end.

I DL the sr4 creator and it was almost identical to the SR3 creator honestly. A few diff clothes which were basically just from SR3dlc. Ive played thru SR4 and it was allright, worth a rental or a buy at $20 later on. It reminded me alot of crackdown. Im all about GTA5 but I try not to compare the 2 series anymore, they are what they are. With saints row 4 I barely used a car the entire game.

Indeed. That's what kept me from downloading the so called "demo".
