Yeah, you're probably right, but I thought it would look a lot less cartooney.
I just got "Field Commander", but who knows... in a few years when this game is in the cut-out bin maybe I'll need a new strat game. It looks way way WAY too much like another series already mentioned, but I won't say it again. I think we all know what we're looking at.
But as far as there being room for another turn-based strat, maybe we fans can agree that more is generally better... it all depends on your level of love for the genre... I, for one, can't grok why anyone would need yet another endless-random-encounter RPG, but there are thousands...
Doesn't mean there souldn't be another one, for the fans out there to stay happy.
I was going to get this but looking at the sceens but now I'm definatly not.I hated field commander and this looks like its going to be the same.I was hoping that this was going to be like the console versions only with better graphics, but it's not even an RTS.McManus107
What did you hate about "Field Commander"? I'm lovin' it, but then I like a turn-based military strat. Does it have to be Real-Time for it to get your blood flowing? And pardon my pointing this out, but "like the console versions except with better graphics"... on a hand-held? You ARE kidding, right? How could a PSP game have better graphics than a console? Not possible... If you didn't like "Field Commander" that's cool and all, I'm just wondering as a strat fan what you found so bad about the title.
No insult intended.

it's not that i thought field commader was bad,i even rated it at 7.but i just find Turn-Based Strategy boring, and field commander is the only Turn-Based strategy I've played.
BTW,I meant that the graphics would be worse, that was an mistake.
the graphics weren't at all what i expected to be like. When i first heard about this game coming to psp i was excited but now not as much. I at least thought that the game would look similar to the console version in some small way.I mean when will people start realizing the potential of the psp and that it can handle a lot more than what they're giving us right now. Look at final fantasy or even god of war-both great-looking, and fun games .The answer is probably never if they keep on giving us these low-end-graphic games.

Darklord94
Those were pretty short games. Maybe because of these "low-end-graphics" the game will be longer.
One man's floor is another man's ceiling... card games are still fun for some, but the graphics of four suits and some royalty isn't enough to make me play poker. I guess my point is, it's not about the graphics all the time, it's pretty well determined by your love of a genre.
If the AI is good, there's nothing wrong with it in my opinion... but I can see the frustration from a series fan's point of view when you look at the series as a whole and this game's place in the pantheon... I wouldn't want them to sell me a Rainbow Six game that's based in card battles... I hear your screams...
... "Call of Duty" as a Puzzle Fighter-style game?
I agree that these things make no sense... and I find it funny that games like the celebrated "Halo" started as completely different styles of game than they were to become and subsequently rule the world as... but as with everything else now, in my old age, I refuse to judge the game based on a few screens and an off-hand report on features in an unfinished game.
The proof is in the pudding, and none of our bowls are full yet for us to taste. Patience.
