ask them again VERY nicely and maybe suggest spending it in store straight away. price drops like that aren't known very far in advance by retailers, so its not their fault.
it's your fault for being surprised, this is Gamestop we are talking about.paradigm68i would return the psp to that store, drive 15 minutes to the next gamestop and buy it there with the credit they gave me and use the extra credit on a game. or buy it used at the next store and have more money to fool around with
Honestly I wouldn't of give you a refund Its tough luck really.
If you did that here in the UK they'd think you weirdHanzoadam
Well, it's a good thing he's not in the UK. Over here, it's common at the big stores for a person to get the price match within 30 days of sale. Do be honest, I think it's kinda weird that you can't do that in ther UK.

You can also just buy a new one at the lower price, and return the new sealed one with the old receipt.

You guys dont get it...its after 7 days so hes not getting his MONEY back, he will only get credit.
You don't get it. It's a 30 day return policy on sealed stuff, which is why I suggested he buy a new one and return that with the old receipt.

I doubt it's sealed, OP just states that they have a receipt. All I can say is that next time buy from Best Buy. They have price matching for stuff that goes on sale within the return period. Which is usually 30 days. They don't have Price Matching outside their own stores/website, though.About all the OP can do is go to a local Gamestop and try to make friends with the guy behind the counter....

Wow, I didn't think what I wrote was hard to understand, but I guess it is, so I'm gonna say it again ina simpler way.
Buy NEW PSP that's the SAME as the one you bought at NEW PRICE. RETURN NEW PSP with OLD Receipt. KEEP OLD PSP.
I capitalized the important parts. I hope everyone gets it now. Sheesh

Exactly. The quicker you can do that the better (if/when you're financially able to, that is)--try to have a good story ready too, like you were buying it for relative/friend for gift but found out someone got them one. Don't mention anything about the price drop....it'll just make what you're trying to accomplish that much smoother.
Also, make sure to either you buy and return at a location(s) different then the one that you originally bought the first one from (if you live in area where you have multiple Gamestop locations, all the better).
Better pray that they don't compare the bar scans between the box and the receipt.

GS does do refunds in the form that you paid. I don't understand why you don't get that. And please clarify how this is bannable.
Anyways, I'm done with this. OP seems to have gotten his issue resolved, hopefully. Don't want to start a meaningless argument.
