WTF! IP Address?

I keep trying to connect my PS3 to the internet both wired and wirelessly, and everytime I try, It says that the IP address timed out. Can anyone help? I've heard this is a common problem among new PS3 owners

I had a similiar problem when I tried connecting the modem directly to PS3.

I bought a router and my problem was solved. lol..sorry, that's all I can offer you.

My only question for you is, did online ever work wirlessly, because if so then you should try turning your router off for 30 seconds then turning it back on, or you may have to call your internet company to find out whether or not something is wrong wirelessly..rahul_batta

Static IP is what it says.

You run around and set each device a unique IP Address so there are no mix ups and loss of service. Read the guide in the link above mate, they will walk you through step by step for your router.
