For those who cannot understand this language, please let me translate. Ok, I have had enough. Please do not look down on me due to ignorance, but could someone describe to me what firmware is? I know it may be a silly answer, but I do not know what it is. Thanks.

In computing, firmware is software that is embedded in a hardware device. It is often provided on flash ROMs or as a binary image file that can be uploaded onto existing hardware by a user. Let me put it in layman's terms...

Ok. its something that runs your psp and with Each new update we hope that it adds new features. like expanded options for oh say video or music. Also, firmware is pretty much the OS of the psp.

man just google it next time instead of lookin for the answer here. WIKIPEDIA and GOOGLE should be the first places that you look for answers. GS forums just dont cut it

I could be wrong but I think it's the verbaige you're supposed to read and agree to in order to use the boards. Some people call it the Terms of Service I think. Says stuff like no excessive punctuation, Don't use all caps in title (even when you censor bypass by including one lower case). Again I'm not sure but I think that's it. Good luck.
