So I lately havent been playing my ps3 as much, butwhen I got GOW3 like 2xthe fan got really loud. Butafter beating GOW3 a couple timesI havent been playin much this month. So yesterday I started playing my fav online game UNCHARTED 2, but everytime I start playing a gamethe fan startsworking over and its really loud. I have 40bg ps3 for almost 2 years now. Im one of those people that weak up in the morningand turns on thier ps3 before doingany first and keeeps it on till I go to sleep. I ,most of the time, leave my PS3 on even if im not using it or not even in the house. I never had any problems with my TREY, it has bearly ever frozen on my. Im just wondering whythe fan is getting so loud every time I start playing a game. Im playing U2 right now (for like 2 hours now) with the damn fan, should I stop playing? cuz I dont stop playing when the fan gets loud. Is my ps3 gonna explode?

Well it has been 2 years since you got it. There will be a buildup of dust inside of the console that will cause the fan to work harder in a short amount of time. Also it depends where you live. In the northern hemisphere summer is coming along and the temperatures are rising, which in turn cause your ps3's fan to start working harder in a much shorter time span. Plus is your ps3 in a confined area? if it is you should put in somewhere that allows ample air flow around your console.

It's probably a build up of dust inside the console. I don't know the best way to get rid of it, let's hope the guy below me knows.
