WTF Sony.

This rant in noway, shape, or form represents my lack of love for the PS3. I think the PS3 is the best console out right now from what I have determined.

But the games??? WTF Sony. And the online network? Cmon!

- Every single PS3 game I am excited about hasn't been slated for a real date, and they are all coming out within the next 3 months. Hell I'm afraid most of them will get pushed back like GTA4!

- New network content once a week? Seriously, after today's update... I'm really pissed off at how the once a week idea leaves room for dissapointment... and a lot of it.

- Lack of new game content? Rainbow Six Vegas Black has been out for months now, and Red has been out for about a month. There hasn't been a single word about either of those even being a possibility! I've been wondering why I've been joining games only to find like 3 other people there instead of a full room! And what about MUA Villains and Heroes? CMON!

Seriously, I'm lucky to have some great PS2 games to keep me busy until November, but Sony please get your act together. Stop concentrating on marketing your "Mercedes of the gaming industry" and start providing support for it so that you can appeal to your real audience, the gamers who invested in your product.

Gah.

I don't think Sony is ready to listen to you yet.

Once they start losing a bit more money, maybe they will do something.

yeah I don't thinks Sony will hear this rant, but I guess we need to publically vent sometime. This first year of the PS3 has been lackluster so far, but the ball will be rolling soon. Really this final upswing to release quality products in the near future IMO is quite impressive looking back at the first year of any other console. Also personally I happen to like this Thursday release schedule of online content. Although minimal now, I can look forward to Thursdays being an official game day. Instead of going to church on sunday I'm going online thursdays to see what new content has been released.

The only thing I can address in the rant is that the Red and Black packs are on the disk. Which is why soon after it came out on PS3, they became free on XBL.

But I do agree with everything else. I would replace the Rainbow Six rant (but yeah, what is up with the lack of people playing) with the Oblivion DLC. Where is it?
