well topic name states that it was a joke and i remember a few days ago some dude posted the link where it said the 360 could outperform the ps3 , but this topic states that it was a joke to think thatGizmoSimo

It's sad that people need to turn cancer research into a competition before they care about it. I was happy to find out my PS3 could make any kind of an impact, but I think its disgusting that some people wanted the 360 to participate just to test its power against the PS3s. Apparently when scientists and researchers said that the Cell was optimal for the type of distributed computing required for F@H, they were just being "fanboys". Psh.

It doesn't prove any console > the other, it just means that the Cell is perfect for just this type of application. Nothing to get worked up over, and certainly nothing to trivialize cancer research over by turning it into a fanboy fight.

You guys didn't obviously read past "Xbox out performing the PS3"... He says it's a joke, implying that a rumour that the xbox 360 can outperform the PS3 is actually a joke, and not true. mars44
