Oh, and an update on gameplay from Kotaku:

There are a few details about the game we have been able to decipher despite knowning no Japanese. There appears to be a very prominent red-headed female character that is reminiscent of Rikku from Final Fantasy X. The gameplay screens are hard to decode, as the menu system looks a bit different and disjointed by comparison to previous FF games. Also, FFXIII appears to stay the course set by FFXII by showing enemies on the field rather than throwing players into random battles.

I loved XII's battle system. No long ass sequences into a battle and crap.

Hm so far it seems the cast in XIII is all girls and the cast in Vs XIII is all guys. Too bad you can't tell the difference between them by just looking. Just kidding. But seriously...can't they make a guy in a JRPG look like a guy? I mean I know most of their guys under the age of 25 looks like girls but can't they just use one of the older guys as a model? Like whoever they modeled Auron after. Use him as a base template or something.Koinuboy

WRONG! There is a guy in Xlll wh is sort of lightnings follower & the girl with banila girls protector. He's the one who came in on the motorcycle that then turned to shiva.

dont get too attached to those 'main' characters as one will most definitely or rather most likely bite the dust... its the final fantasy way. its a cheap but effective story twist, those screens ugh... are screens, remember the other FF screens from the last gen games... just give me 5 different iterations of bahamut, preferably one for each element and i'll buy it... wonder if this game will cost 70 dollars or more what with its massive cost, see 360 edition.
