XMB while playin games, where is it???

Not in this update but I am sure it will be soon enough. This is already the best update so far. That is the next major change that they will make, I am sure of it ( well....;)).

So just sit back and tweak your settings for now and enjoy what the SONY gods gave us today.

Oh and by the way....It was NOT PROMISED to us. It was a lame arse rumor by that chick 'Leah'. You know, the one that lied about having her account hacked into when she stated all these false updates and then realized what a fool she made of herself.

This is a great update. What you desire will come in time. I am positive that SONY wants their customers to be content.

I'm guessing you're a close personal friend of Phil Harrisons? and this was a private conversation you had with him, because I don't think SONY ever promised this and if they did they certainly didn't promise this for this version. Give Phil a call and ask him to sort it out for all our sakes....go on you have his number....go on.............did you call Phil yet what's the latest?:|

I have a question, do you honestly think it is the easy for a company to just add things to a network without properly checking everything before they release it?  The console is going to be around for a while and they aren't just drop a update just for the sake of updating it takes a lot of time and preparation!

You're being very harsh. The improvement to the PS2 game's alone was worth it. What I will say in your defense though is that this one took longer to download than any of the previous updates did ,so I have to say I was expecting a little bit more than we got but overall I'm happy with it

they never promised it and they never even confirmed 2.0 which is what in game XMB was supposed to be part of

2.0 was a rumor

dvd and ps2 and ps upscale which apparently is kick ass havent tried it yet myself

better HDMI options

pc to PS3 media sharing

and alot of other stuff

Edge smoothing, the new HDMI color options like Super White HDMI, RGB Full range HDMI,  the method of the upscale (full or limited).

Go check out your settings for yourself man, do I really need to do all this for you? There are new options listed in the System Settings area of the XMB.

You have two options:

1) Go over to Dstry13's link to see what this update includes.

or

2) Just toss your unit off a tall building if you are that dissatisfied with it.

That was part of the RUMORED 2.0 release... as you can see, we received update 1.8 and there have not been any OFFICIAL announcements for an update 2.0... so that particular upgrade may or may not be included when 2.0 finally gets here.

No they never said anyhting about in which update they will include that, but an unofficial list of features of update 2.00 includes in game access to XMB.  Dont be so ungrateful

First, no they didn't promise that feature for this update and you're the only one that seems to think so. Second, the new settings for you to tweak are under the System section of the XMB... under GAME & Blu Ray/DVD.

Tc needs to learn to keep wants and promises separate, they are not the same thing. "I want from sony" =/= "sony promised". ;)

And if you're really that mad about ps3 then sell it/return it.

you saw a post of a rumor and not actual confirmation and yes everybody WAS HOPING for this to be true but then when it was not confirmed by SONY we all got over it and what he meant by only you is that it seems like only you have not realized or read that it was debunked :D
