Well, she needed Solid Snake's DNA to access the SOP system. But she had an agenda of her own. She wanted someone to help her shut everything down. She went back to Liquid so she could do it. So she could "open the door" for them.

If I recall Naomi was not really on anyones side per se, rather she felt sympathy toward vamp, but knew what he was doing was wrong. She has a hatred for snake, but knew he was right and felt loyal to him (and starts to forgive). So its all messed up. She really just wanted to make things right in her mind, which ment helping and hurting both sides. Yes its complicated.

as for Frank Yaeger, Gray Fox..he also has always been a Psycho too?? (Helping then Hindering Solid Snake).."he lives for a final battle with solid snake..that's all he lives for" some MGS plot website wrote. Funny thing is, he didnt even fight against Solid Snake during his last battle.

Right from MGS1, Naomi hunter has always had her own agenda, working with both sides, but not really on anyones side at all.
