Y exclusives are important.....

This is my opinion feel free to disagree....

FF13 going to 360 will hurt Sony. The reason y exclusives are important is to differentiate between the consoles. If the games are going to be available for both consoles what's the point of having both? What is the point having having games on Blue Ray if it can also be done on DVD? What's the point of creating a more powerful system if it's possible on the other system? What's the point of buying a PS3 (as a gaming system) if you already have a 360? You can say that there are other exclusives and first party games, and yes you would be right but honestly there aren't THAT many of those now. So now deciding on which console to get is based on which first party games u wanna play more. SE made the right decision, as releasing the game on 360 would increase sales. Sony on the other hand made the wrong decision in not trying to keep this game exclusive (e.g. GTA). Yes it's a big deal. Sony is behind in sales by releasing the ps3 a year later than the 360 and they won't catch MS in sales let alone Nintendo if they depend solely on first party exclusives.

they dont try to create better games, they try to make flashier games... and now everything goes multiplatform...

for a developer it would be easier to work on one project for one time, not twice means porting to another... so instead of improving games they spend time on porting and since those games are multiplatform they dont need to improve anything because it will sell on any console, it wont try to get attention from other console owners because its multiplatform...

for exclusive games; they become rare and great ones that get attention from other console owners are not enough to convince them...

m$ just entered industry with idea of "i have money, i can buy anything, then i'll be monopoly again and will start gaining more profits than ever" they didnt enter with competition idea, never.

Wow iceman08 this is the second time today that I agree with you. Man that is rare on these forums but anyway. If games go multi plat then I don't care if a game is exclusive to a console guess what I don't care. When I went to purchase my system I knew that some sacrifices had to be made. I do agree with you TC on if all games are multi plat why have both systems? That's how I feel and that's why I do not have a 36O. Not because it is a bad console or I am a fanboy but I can play my old PS games and Sony offer the type of gaming experience that I enjoy. At the end of the day, consoles are like cars. You may like a Lexus but I like a Benz. the wii on the other hand is my back up car, a Suzuki Forenza. lol! Cheap but reliable.

PS3 as a console is awesome but sony has lost big time in it's game management and if they release a PS4 in the near future they are gonna be throwing each of their stock in the trash cans because they have lst the trust of the casual to somewhat core gamer because it is these people who make the console sales soar because a hardcore gamer will not be bothered by this at all .

Buying a PS3 for me is not a mistake at all but not buying the x360 is the biggest gaming mistake in my life I guess

playstation made 2 many mistakes to count!..u can justify a purchase of $400 when al the gr8 exclusives u played on ps2,ps1 r gone! i dont even go on ps3 anymore! only when i am gonna watch a movie! or maybe chat! i beat mgs4 and that's old news now! ffx13 and gta r 2 franchises sony should always have! and for that! they are finished! ffx13 especially should never b on any system but ps3! there is no reason 2 buy a ps3 now because a blu ray player can b bought for a cheaper price!

I bought my PS3 because of MGS4 and the FF series. Now I regret buying a PS3. I was a fan of sony's ps3, not anymore if sony keeps going like this. We keep losing exclusives. This year had to be ps3's year, what doesn't look like that to me. Microsoft has a bunch of games that are coming out this year, so I think of getting a 360 now. And I know that my ps3 will keep dusting at that moment on.

Don't tell me which exclusives we still have. LBP - is not gears. Killzone, Whiteknight, heavy rain, FFXIII VS etc. are far away. We get Bioshock, lost planet etc. in place of FFXIII but those games can't be compared with FFXIII. I'm pissed at the moment.

There may be a lot of decent games coming to the PS3 soon, but if Sony doesn't commit to keeping hold of big name "system sellers", then M$ are going to be the ones creating the AAA titles in the future.
