Yakuza: Of The End (also known as Yakuza 5) is an upcoming action-adventure video game, developed and published by Sega exclusively for PS3. The game is the seventh installment in the Yakuza series, although this has yet to be confimed. The game concept and keyword is "destruction"; a promotional image for the game has shown the series' main locale, Kamurocho, in ruins and all everyone turned into zombies, Kazuma Kiryu and the gang must survive. Scans of the Famitsu issue set for release on Sep 16, 2010, the first day of the 2010 Tokyo Game Show, revealed that this game will be a canon sequel to Yakuza 4, and is set durning a zombie outbreak in Kamurocho.

Sega said Yakuza series is now to present and returning series.

Maybe NA will release Yakuza Kenzan in 2011 and Black Leopard: Yakuza in 2011 or 2012.

i think the report included Kenzanand Prologue. That's 6 releases so far.

Yes.

There is the box art for PSP.

There is a upcoming game for PSP named Kurohyou: Ryu ga Gotoku Shinshou (also known as Black Leopard: Yakuza) only in Japan in Sep 22, 2010.

although its popularity in the west was somewhat limited, Yakuza is easily one of the best exclusive franchises on Playstation. i expect this game to end the underworld saga strongly.

I still need to play Yakuza 3. Heard it was fairly good.

Yea... being a yakuza t.v. series is starting this fall in japan I doubt it is over. And the 2007 movie was pretty decent.
