People always spend 59.99 or whatever money on a game just for online.

MW2, BFBC2, KZ2, LBP, Modnation, and etc.... The only problem is....

YOU NEED A HEADSET TO COM-MU-NI-CATE... lol Some games need team work

or a lot of talking just to get things moving.... So I have to ask... Why do people buy

all of these games for it's online gameplay but can't get a bluetooth or headset ?

UPDATE

---------

Today is E3 day soo...

Everyone is welcome to stop by and vist the LBL III (well you guys were always welcome lol)

but on the special behalf on today is E3 and my Interview is finally done!

http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=27327224&tag=topics%3Btitle

So hopefully we could all celebrate and conversate more on the LBL and Scianix's E3 discussion Thread !!!

Because some people just want to chill and have fun and don't take a ranked online match serious enough to really feel the need to talk to random people. If you're playing with your friends and doing a GB match or something, that's a differant story.

First, I wished TC gave us more options in his pole, I voted "I don't speak English", by the way for those who don't, how would they answer your pole ? ;) . Second, I just got a ps3 and I was surprised how so few spoke online... TC, if you love chatting so much online, you might consider a 360??? On left 4 dead 2 360 they have a funny tendency of kicking anyone who does not have a mic (curiously not the case on PC).

Nope I was not, he is complaining about people not talking, I gave him a suggestion. I could have tried asking every ps3 owner to use their mic, but this would have been a little "unrealistic", don't you think? ;) If it makes you feel better, I love my ps3 (which I truly do), however, my love for the device was not going to fix his problem, getting a 360 perhaps.

I have one but I mute people mostly because they are either really annoying, they talk to loud or they are just being a bunch of immature **** It hard to find decent people online to play with.

I use mine when I'm with friends, but if I'm in a room full of randomers then I really couldn't care less. I'll play the game that I bought however the hell I want.

To me that makes no sense. If you buy a team based game, and you play it online you should use a mic.

I think because of the high price? It's same price as a new retail game and the feeling of "no one uses one anyway so why would I?"

Those are the reasons for me mostly, but I don't really play much PS3 online either. My communicate type games go for that other system anyway :p

I used to use my mic all the time while playing MAG thats the only game where there are enough people with headsets that using one makes a difference otherwise its mostly with friends.

If you have a mic send me a friend invite and we can get some frags together

Because of the price. I don't get that much money and every time I do have enough money it's either a new game or a mic. And, well, I always go for the game lol :P

1. Why do all your topic titles have 'YC' at the beginning? It serves no point to the thread.

2. "Why do online gamers not own headsets?" is better English.

3. The majority, not all, of people who use headsets talk absolute rubbish and just keep screaming swear words and insults. I'm happy pressing the mute all button.

I play very few online games and when I do, nobody's got a headset, so it seems pointless for me to get one. Besides, I don't have anything to say. I like playing the game, not prattling.

Not a lot of options in your poll mate, then again, maybe you were looking for specific answers. :)

I only use the headset if I'm in good team that actually communicates or I'm playing with real life friends. That's about it.

I had a blutooth headset, hardly really used it then one day I accidentally broke it anyway. I'm not in a hurry to replace it.

When playing a full team game I feel I really don't need a headset. BFBC you can only hear 3 squadmates anyway, it's not hard to figure out what 3 people are doing. Despite not having a headset I drop ammo and revive squadmates because I pay attention, I also provide a useful spawn point because I don't just camp in the back as a sniper. I spot by hitting the select button. MW2 and Killzone 2 are the worst. If anything it's actually annoying to hear all the chatter, I wouldn't want to hear the chat on those games directily in my ear. Nothing annoys me more than hearing a 14 year old on the other end cursing like a little juvenile delinquent moron. Sometimes talking trash, sometimes "rapping" into their headset, sometimes just ranting and raving about whatever. I find that when I'm playing shooters I put everyone on mute most of the time. Out of all the people that make "noise" in their headsets probably 2% actually communicate usefully, so what am I missing?

Playing co-op is about the only instance I could see needing one, like playing special ops in MW2. I could see it useful because it's only 2 players and alot of times you want to say "ill cover point a, you cover point b". Playing full online games it's less of a big deal IMO. PLaying a racing game like Modnation I hardly see why you would need one at all.

I still don't understand why people buy and play games that require teamwork and communication, and yet do not have a mic. Thats just no fun and holds back whatever team you are playing on.

its cos you get alot of people playing with alot of noise in the backround like a dog barking or some kid saying "mum but i dont wana clean up my room" so it gets really annoying to listen to that nonsense so they dont even bother talking. like as soon as anyone comes over i turn off my headset cos i like to keep my gaming and personal life seperate. and how many of you can say that you enjoy hearing a 8 year old or a 10 year old yelling into the mic sounding like a idiot along with their family yelling at them from the backround?

I have a headset. I always use one during co-op and usually in multiplayer as well unless nobody else has one or in the case of MW2, people are complete d-bags.

kkee

+1. I have a mic myself but very rarely do I use it. Number three is the one reason why that is. If I ran into people who actually used it to coordinate and focus on the situation instead of being amazed at how bad people are, or how high their score kill ratio is, I'd use it.

That doesn't mean I don't do what I'm asked of though. If someone wants me to cover something, I'm on it. Just because there's no mic symbol, doesn't mean that person isn't listening to orders or whatever else.

Coming from a PC background, if there's one major difference between it and console gaming, I think it's communication. Even in team based games, a lot of people just look out for me, myself, and I ("OMGZ LOOK AT MAI KDR.....I KNO WERE PLAYING CONQUEST BUT LUK AT MY KDR!!!")

You know, you don't need YC in the threads you make.

I speak no english

If they vote for that and are reading your thread they obviously speak some. I hate when people don't have mics and when I used to host games I would always boot people who did not have one.

Well thats when we are playing battle filed :P I prefer not to use headsets on certain games, Street fighter is one of them due to people just hatin'. Tactical games ill use a Mic, games like COD where you're a one man army don't require them.
