well i think i just got the YLOD i was wondering how much does it cost out of warranty to fix from sony in US $. or is there a way i can fix it myself

Though I wouldn't recommend it, you can try fixing it yourself using a heatgun and thermal compound. (look for a vid on YT that shows exactly what to do if you're interested in trying to fix it yourself) If you don't want to try this, it'll cost you $150 for Sony to repair it. I would recommend just sending it to them, instead of trying to fix it yourself.
