You need to INSTALL games to play em!?

Can someone help me with this. I've heard for any game or demo that you play on PS3, you need to install it to play?!

Someone clarify this situation please.

All games need to install. It's not such a big deal. It downloads the file, then it extracts it (aka install).

Some disk based game ask for an install for it to run it's best, some games install without you even knowing it. Besides, what's the big deal? It's not like it's an impossible task, you just press a button. It's nothing like PC game installing.

What are you talking about? no disc-based game has ever asked me to install ANYthing other then the obvious saving thing

the only thing you have to install is games from the store or demo's

NG Sigma has an install option. it still runs off the disk but it runs faster if you do the install.

Yeah, so does oblivion and R6V except they install everytime you load the disc in and delete after you take the disc out to play a new game.

Installing disc based games would actually be a nice option. Probably the ONLY thing I miss about my 360.
