Your Experience: PS3 BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY FLAWS (60 GB version)

Very rarely will any users of the Gamespot forums hear me criticize my PS3, but I think there is one that is worth posting...

I am currently playing Final Fantasy VII on my PS3 right now and have found that the game will stutter and slowdown dramatically whenever I use a summon materia. The game begins to crawl...music gets all messed up...and then everything goes back to normal. I am on the verge of getting the Knights of the Round materia and I DREAD the prospect of having to watch that jumbled mess stuff on my screen everytime I cast it...

Is anyone noticing flaws in the B/C of PS3 (60 GB versions). Obviously the hardware based component is NOT 100%, but I'm just curious to see how many flaws in games we can find.

For the record, this is the first game that I have encountered with any noticeable flaws in emulation.

the only thing i notice is when the game starts my controller shuts off and i gotta turn it back on.digxxbitty

That happens with all PS1/2 games

Well, SSX tricky doesn't work, completely, it doesn't even start up, which kida sucks, but overall, its pretty good. :)

Yeah, I'm playing through Final Fantasy VII, but it doesn't bother me too much. I say that because I think I should be focusing on getting PS3 games instead of replaying through old classics (PSX/PS2) as much as I do.

chrono cross sometimes gets stuck on the elemental attack animations. seems mostly to happen when fighting bosses (extremely frustrating)

I never did finish the game and got it cheap (of course) a little while ago and was excited to be able to play it without a wired controller (so much more comfortable) but now i dont play it because of the frustration of having to turn off the game if i cast magic. :(
