Mines not on yoru pole, .hack//G.U.//Rebirth. Gamespot gave it 6.3, it deserves better. they even gave 7.0 to a game from the older .hack series, even tho this one is better in everyway.

I never played the ones before,,but this game is really underrated,,,this game is at least 8.0,,its amazing,,cant wait for VOL.2:D
Shadow, ICO and Onimusha aren't underrated they all received high scores. I was thinking of Vagrant Story myself before I came in this topic. Never finnished it as I lost it to a distant friend years ago. Always wanted a sequel on PS2, it would be great 2 see it on PS network for PSP. Even better if there was a PS3 sequel. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Vagrant Story part of the Final Fantasy universe? I don't remember the story but I read somewhere that te game was set in the same world as Final Fantasy VII I think.
In terms of the poll, Onimusha for sure since SotC and ICO were never underrated. An underrated PS2 game that I thought was pretty cool with the different characters giving different sides of the story was "The Bouncer" the square game that came out to hold people over until FFX came out.
V-Story. Was it underrated? i don't remeber. well, what ever, that one (i think legend of the dragoon for PS1 was underrated too by a certain site.. hmm i wonder who that was *cough-GS-cough*

No, it wasn't FF universe. (by the way you contrasted it with VII world i guess you haven't played VII, is that safe to assume, im just wondering that's all)  but it would be nice to see a sequel that's for sure.
All of the legacy of kain games. Heck, even psychonauts got much more attenttion that than series. Way underated, and it probably has the best music and storyline any game could have. Gameplay is pretty innovative too.
