Your game of the year poll (PS3 exclusive only)

Well the year has been filled with amazing games and a great line up for exclusives this year for sony, so what was it for you? Demons Souls is mine all the way. All the games on this list are good but demons souls is fresh, challenging and has some of the coolest boss fights since shadow of the collosus!!!

For me I think 2009 will pan out as Uncharted 2 (goaty)> Demons Souls > R & C > Killzone 2 > Infamous. I've just started U 2 & DS and Ratchet isn't out so that's just a prediction.Floppy_Jim

Impressive list of games, but until I play them all, there is no way I could pick one.

Reviews, game trailers, etc, are cool, but I never rate a game at GS, until I've played it.

Definatly Uncharted 2 :)

Almost voted Infamous, but then I saw ACIT on the list so I'll have to go with that one. I just know I'm going to love every second of it.

Infamous is damn awesome though and my current favorite title on the PS3.

Um demons souls is out state side, came out before uncharted and its amazing!

I know. I had to import it from the States though, it only arrived a couple of days before Uncharted 2.

Are you in Europe I assume then? I hear they dont even have release date there :(....

Yep. I'd be surprised if Europe gets Demons Souls before the 2010 holidays. I couldn't wait that long after reading reviews and impressions of it.

You would of thought by now Demon Soul's would have been released it's annoying that Altas don't publish games in Europe I hope it finds a publisher I thought Sony Europe would have released it. My game of the year is Uncharted 2 but I can't wait for Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time.

wow, sad to see only one vote for kz2. It just shows how much more diverse PS3 owners are i guess.

There's been a lot of fantastic PS3 exclusives this year, with Ratchet still to go, but for me, Uncharted 2 is far, far above anything and everything, not only for my 2009 GOTY, but my favorite game of all time.

Count another vote for Uncharted 2.

I loved InFamous, found Killzone 2 gameplay to be awesome but it's story so annoying and stupid that i hate the thing all together. Thoroughly enjoyed my first time through Uncharted 2 (played it on hard and it was fair difficulty).

Demon's Souls, while fun is more difficult and more work required to make it that sort of game that you ENJOY playing.

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, i am getting, and i think from what i've seen it will be much much better then Tools of Destruction.

I'm not very far in any of them because I'm trying to play like a million games at once lol I'm only on Chapter 7 in Uncharted, 1-2 on DS, and about halfway through inFamous I think, but I did finish the KZ2 campaign. From what I've played of them all I gotta say Uncharted 2. Everything about that game is epic. DS is great too but hard. inFamous was awesome and was my GOTY while I was playing it but it got lost in all the new releases so I haven't played in about a month. I do plan on trying to finish it up soon though. KZ actually had a pretty decent story for an FPS and its probably the best FPS I've ever played, but it just can't stand up to the other games in my opinion. I'm really looking forward to Ratchet & Clank though. I just finsihed ToD last week and I'm playing QfB now and I love it. I don't know if it'll be GOTY good, but it'll definitely still be great.

My personal PS3 exclusive of the year would have to be Demon's Souls, but no doubt Uncharted 2 is deservingly in the driver's seat for this one and will probably win GOTY overall as well.

i still have to play demon souls and R&C ACIT but around Dec. i should be able to pick a solid game of the year

This year its a bit tough for me, I'm still not sure wether Killzone2 or Uncharted deserves it more, both are great titles.

Infamous hands down! Thats one of my favourite games of all time!

Hard to pick from that group since I've only played two of the five mentioned. Killzone 2 was excellent as a shooter, but the storyline was not great. Good, but not great. Storylines in games pretty much show that plotting is not taught in art school. InFamous was the same, a bit better, trying to work in a bit of irony, but still pretty simplistic and with a number of serious flaws. But it was great to play, even if it looked like everyone in Empire City shopped at Eddie Bauers or Payless.

Uncharted 2 is getting great reviews and I hope to play it soon, but I don't know that it will be as compelling (for me at least) as a good shooter. Did you guys that have played it go back and play missions again and again after you've succeeded? When I do that in a game, I know the developer got something right and I did that with Killzone 2. I have one Rachet and Clank game and it looks great, if I was somewhere between 8 and 12. Demon Souls is sort of a dark horse to me. Had not heard of it until recently. If I see more good reviews on it, I may give it a try. But between the two I have played:

KILLZONE 2 is the winner for me.

Wow i haven't played a single one on that list.. ive played demo's for Killzone 2 and Infamous, and plan on getting all games up there eventually.. my GOTY probably would go to Dead Space (not sure if it came out this year or earlier, but i didn't play it until recently). :PRattlesnake_8

I'm with TC. Demon's Souls no question.

Of course this is going to go to Uncharted 2 because it appeals to a much larger crowd. But after playing all of these games, Demon's Souls is my favorite (and rather addicting still). I've been waiting for a game like it for years now..then it came.
