What is your idea of the perfect game. And for those of you saying "There is no such thing as a perfect game" then something close to it ok.

Mine would have to be an amazing JRPG with the battle system kinda like Final Fantasy X but throw in some twist. And amazing story, chacarters then you can get attached to, endless amounts of side missions to keep you playing for hours on end. Great graphics, multply endings to keep you coming back for more, making choices like Mass Effect 2 choice system. Also I could go for either random battles or enemys you see and can run into. Also vast differences between areas. And of course, open world, not linear.

Second would be a action/adventure game, filled with amazing combat, great puzzle sloving that really makes you think. An amazing story, amazing voice acting, again chacarters you can get attached to, graphics, a difference in enemies, a vast amount of weapons to use. A length story with high replay vaule, maybe like 25 to 30 hour story line. You can add multiplayer but I can live without if need be. a little side quest, like trying to find hidden items here and there. And yes I know at this point, I'm basically just saying everything that Uncharted is.And yeah, Uncharted is very close to that.

But two games that almost make my perefect game(s) is inFAMOUS and Uncharted 2

Something with the freedom of GTA in an epic and beatiful gameworld the size of GTA: SA+, with in depth character customization and a great leveling / progression system...with an awesome story and memorable characters like those from RDR with speech options like those from Fallout 3 that affect the outcome of the main plot and how NPCs react towards you...a game that promotes multiple playthroughs that will keep you entertained for hundreds of hours...with tons of unique side missions and a huge variety of vehicles...multiplayer would not be needed but could be a cool idea such as the style of multiplayer from GTA: IV / RDR that you can just play for fun...and some other cool stuff, now that would be the ultimate game

From all of the games dev's ou there now imo Rockstar are the only ones that could pull a game like that off and make it work really well, a game that would be cared for and looked after with fast pactches for any problems that occur and possible free DLC LONG down the line, a game that would have nothing to do with the likes of companies such as EA and Acti whojust 'milk' their gamers for money and leave games unfinished / in need of patches

I think i just decsribed GTA V:D

A Demon's Souls sequel. (A true sequel, not a "spiritual" one) The old IW making MW3.

A world like GTA San Andreas with more going on in it, with Assassins Creeds bustling-ness. A gameplay similar to Uncharted 2 with fluid movements from Assassins Creed for things like movement and jumping. Hmm.. A story that can vary from hectic to relaxed would be nice but on a wider scale than sneaking through a map and suddenly in a firefight. Basically a GTA game that has had about 6 years of solid work which we all know won't happen.

Pretty much this, but the free-roam needs to be expanded, like combining GTA with AC, which i guess would be free-roam + free-running. Character convos don't necessarily need mulitple outcomes but i do like the ability to complete missions in various ways, for replay value. A good example of that would be the new dlc game, Stacking - play the demo and you'll see what i mean. I LOVE customization. Choosing everything from gender to clothes to equipment, i want all that. KotOR is a great example of that. I appreciate gaming variety but i hate racing or timed elements. Escaping an exploding ship or fleeing from a monster are fine, but timed traps or obstacle courses or whatever, hate those sooo much. Lots of attack variations, just different ways to dispatch enemies, adds just plain fun to a game. Some creative hack-n-slash tops off my days perfectly. I'm down for any time period; past, present or future. But whatever it is, it should all be relevant & consistent. Weapons of the future shouldn't be in the past; i like some plausibility in my inplausible gaming experiences. Keeps it grounded. I don't want a game to be too bizarre unless it's on the scale of Katamari or something.

While I agree Dark Souls is not exactly a sequel but it is just as good, have you seen the latest trailer? It screams of Demon's Souls. Who knows if Dark Souls is a success then Sony may give us a sequel to DS which continues the story somewhat.

i whole heartedly agree with this. id also have to say no openworld games. its over don. sionce basically gta3 almost all games are now trying to go open world and its just so boring becasue devolpers make the worlds to big and the story way to thin and boring. take just casue 2 for example the open world is awesome in that game. but the story is horrendous. id say the perfect game out there is minecraft. its literealy whatever you want it to be

A game the development team actually wants to make. Even if that means a lower budget, a smaller team, and fewer units sold.

First of all, and most importantly, the game needs to be innovative and fresh. Examples of this include Assassin's Creed, Vanquish and LittleBigPlanet. Secondly, it needs to feel polished and complete. I don't care if there's a minor glitch or two, because no game is completely glitch-free. Though not required, I love to have an open world to explore, because it means I can play at my own pace. That's why I love games such as inFamous, Just Cause 2, GTA IV, and the AC series. Lastly, it needs at least an interesting story. Hardly any games have amazing stories, but for me, the story needs to be at least engaging. I didn't enjoy Prototype because the story didn't grab me. On the other hand, Just Cause 2 had me entertained the whole way through, even though the story was forgettable.

Also, I don't consider 10/10 games to be perfect, a 10 for me is just near-perfect. I have only ever scored two games a 10, Assassin's Creed II and Unreal Tournament 2004. Neither of these games were perfect, but in my opinion they were damn close to it.
