My ideal RPG is this;
My idea is your a villian. Not a hero a villian. You rob people in a big town. Then you go off to surrounding woods and find someone who joins you team. He has a different play style. You can pick your main characters look, class, gender.
You have to grind in the woods for a while and then go back to the town. At first its just a village but once your main char is lvl 5 and youve met up with the other guy (Lvl 5 takes about an hour to get to). When you go back in its grown you can buy weapons and armor that change your looks.
The combat system works like this. Magic you press l1 and press either square, x, o and traingle.
Then you can do a either heavy, light, meduim sword swing. You move with the left stick. You press R2 for heavy swing and then use the right stick to swing in any way. Theres a auto matic combat lock on. R1 does medium attack. L2 does Light attack.
After you buy your clothing you walk around. It plays like assasins creed. You can assasanate people climb on buildings, pickpocket people. Your stealh skill goes up by doing this. Then you find the towns king. While talking to him a band of theives comes in. Its like a boss fight.
You kill a couple and the leader and a magician, you keep and you force them to join your team.
Later on (dont know how) you find a guy with a gun.
Thats all i got for the story. Not really cliche. At least i dont think haven't played any RPG's
You will be able to see enemys. Enclosed arena. Not turn based. You can switch thru guys with directional pad. Max people you can have is 5 people.
At the end theres many sidequest. Including a whole new town. There is a minigame in which you have a kid :) You never play has them but you can help them grow up. You can run out on your wife and kids or stick with them. Theres also a RTS similar to Age of Conan. Ohter players can help you play. The whole game has 4 player co0op
So endgame includes
Pretty good. Made that up just now. Hope you enjoy
I think just to play this im going to make it.

Grand Theft Auto's openness + Mirror's Edge's city + Final Fantasy's depth = amazing open world RPG.
I love urban settings.

- Real-time battle system
- No stupid monsters/goblins/zombies/aliens/creatures
- Open world
- Deep character customization (physical appearance, fighting style, class system)
- No loading times (partial hard drive install acceptable)
- Extremely detailed and fluid animations (This seems to lack in rpgs in my opinion)
- Approximately 150 hours
- Story that appeals to emotions but not cheesy or sappy
- GTA IV style detailed setting that encompasses both modern city setting as well as forest/countryside
- Indoor and outdoor interactive environments
- Well crafted soundtrack, but option to play own music in-game
That's all I can think of for now, but I have strange feeling that I leaving out something really, really good.
