All PS3 games that sell over half a million copies become part of Sony's Greatest Hits collection. If you were to make your own list of all the PS3 games that you believe are worth KEEPING (i.e. replaying, instead of renting it or selling it after you've finished), what titles would make that list? I've named it, for lack of any better terms, the PS3 "KEEP" Collection.

For me, these are the titles that represent what I consider to be the cream of the crop. Almost each of these games on my list stands out for one reason or another. For instance, Super Street Fighter IV has the distinction of being the #1 most critically-acclaimed fighting game of all time, and Batman: Arkham Asylum the #1 highest-rated superhero game of all time. Many consider the Mass Effect franchise to be the "Star Wars" of gaming. BioShock's premise is about as political and as philosophical as a video game can get. Also, I consider Final Fantasy XIII to be the most visually jaw-dropping game in history and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to have the most insanely elaborate and complex plot. And Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and LittleBigPlanet have the distinction of being Sony Computer Entertainment's most praised first-party titles. Nearly all of these titles easily sold enough to make it into the GH collection, andthe vast majority were also critically acclaimed:

(in no particular order) (bolded are what I consider to be the most absolutely elite, "platinum" titles, and my favorites on the console)

Mass Effect 2

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Heavy Rain

Final Fantasy XIII

Grand Theft Auto IV

LittleBigPlanet

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

BioShock

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Super Street Fighter IV

L.A. Noire

God of War III

Fallout 3

Dead Space

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction

Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Resistance 2

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger

Resident Evil 5

inFAMOUS

Crysis 2

Devil May Cry 4

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

Soulcalibur IV

Hmm LBP2 Portal 2 RDR BC2 SSFIV I've several more games than this (Probably a dozen more or so) but these are the best of them that I don't think I'd sell. Maybe MvC3 too though, But LA Noire is definitely not on my keep list. it's a good experience but it's a rental.

I'm keeping all exclusive Sony games, exclusive 3rd parties, and games only on consoles (Resonance of Fate, Vanquish, L.A.Noire etc)

I've tried to make a habit of selling anything that's either not a good game, or that's also available on PC. Especially with shooters and racing games. I try to sell alot of these games before their prices drop like a rock. I've probably sold about 33% of these types, but actually I've been thinking of purging alot more very soon from my PS3 collection. (Games like GTA IV, Bad Company 2, Blur, Need for Speed: Shift, Operation Flashpiont etc) - probably a couple dozen like this. All these are surely better on PC anyway, so if I want to play them again I can on my steam account or whatever.

There are exceptions though, even though Resident Evil 5 could be played with higher settings PC, I'm definitely keeping the "Gold Edition" for the extra DLC's and the Move support.

For PS3 only I guess:

God of War III

God of War Collection

Final Fantasy XIII

Uncharted

Uncharted 2

InFamous

Assassin's Creed II

Darksiders

Heavy Rain

GT5

Heavenly Sword

Tomb Raider: UW

LBP

Bioshock

Soul Calibur IV

Dragon Age: Origins

Dragon Age II

Enslaved

Killzone 2

L.A Noire

Genji

Dark Kingdom

Apart from 2 games in total, I've kept every game I bought. The only exception being ModNation Racer and RDR.

I keep my fighting games, unless a new version is out than I will trade it in towards that. But I get bored of FPS shooters on consoles, FPS is for PC. I thought RDR would be out for PC, so I'll get Noire soon. I still have Warhawk and GH3 and will keep those.

exclusive 3rd parties2Chalupas

Isn't that just Metal Gear Solid 4, though? I can't even think of another worthwhile PS3-exclusive that isn't published by SCE.

Hey mate, you're not alone! I really liked FFXIII, though I do think that FFXII was better.

At the risk of going OT, I do wonder how many of the FFXIII haters disliked the game because they couldn't get past Chapter 11.

That's what you get for not GRINDING when the game WANTS you to. They purposely placed CP-efficient, weak enemies at various spots in the game that you were supposed to grind for CP. Well, those that chose not to do so obviously either underestimated the difficulty of a FF installment (which is criminal) or OVERestimated their own ability. Either way, it's just desserts (not to be harsh).

I was nice and strong, so Chapter 11 was not frustrating for me as it seems to have been for quite a few people.

I try to keep all of my games, even the one's I don't ever play because they're so bad... Most of them wouldn't sell for much anyway.

Don't know if they disliked it because of chapter 11, most disliked it because it was boring. As for the games, there are very few that are worth keeping. I just sell them on eBay before their value goes down and put that money towards the next game.

Yep I agree with all the people who said keep everything. Personally, I love having a video game library. Keep em all unless you absolutely must sell some for food, rent, electricity...lol :)

All 300+ PS3 games are keepers for me. Trading or selling anything would only get me a few dollars when I payed between $20-$60 for the games. I'm also a collector as well so, I value every game I buy.
