Personally I love that its going back to WW2 era, and its set in the Pacific which should give some new opportunities for gameplay and storytelling. What do you think?
Its not that its a bad thing goes back in time, my question though is why now, especially when brothers in arms comes earlier aug 26th btw. and so many ww2's games are alike,. only thing im looking forward to cod5 is the co-op.
I am happy about this. COD had not yet done a Pacific theater game. Eurpoe has been done in three titles. We finally get a quality WWII Pacific theater game with COD5.
NO! frankly i have enough of WW2 even if its in the pacific mainly cause i have a new thirst for modern guns of sci-fi like resistance or ratchet and clank.
unless their weapons you see in the soul calibur games....

I'm ok with it as long as this is the last time that they do it. For COD5 they should stick with the present. Going to the future would certainly ruin the whole aspect of the COD franchise. So what I'm saying is, as long as they stick to the current day and age with the technology, weapons and warfare then they should be just fine. I really hope it's the last time I see them do this because WW2 has had enough games to tell it's story.
I'm a bit upset, as the modern look and feel was done so perfectly. Why not try a different war? What about World War I? How many FPS games are there based on that?
I think its silly! Call of Duty was never that popular until Modern Combat, which was the first game that was NOT in the WWII era! Now they have the popularity and fan support, and there taking it back to WWII??? I know I wont be buying this one, but for those of you that are have fun with it.
i thought going back to WWII was lame, Call of Duty series has plenty of WWII based games. They should have just stuck with modern warfare and go on from there. Now i'll still play the upcoming call of duty. i just thought it was stupid to go back.
I just love the modern era better, in world war 2, the guns were...meh but possibly a more slightly more futuristic theme, something like Future Weapons :lol:
LAME! I'm tired of the WW2 scene. Even though this one is the pacific, WW2 weapons and the whole story line seems so played out...I doubt I will pick this title up.

Yea i'm not happy with it goin bak 2 WWII but in comparison for me its like GTA4 being delayed.... okay we're gonna b pissed but in the end i'll still b buyin the game!
I don't really mind the fact that they're going back in time, but i really dislike that Treyarch is developing the game, I hope it doesn't suck just like CoD3 did.
