I might be going out on a limb here but from some of the games that I have seen on both the Wii and PSP I have to say that the PSP already has as good graphics as the Wii.
I am not saying that all the PSP games are better looking than the Wii but God of War: Chains of Olympus to me have better graphics than some games on the Wii.
the only thing that comes to my mind is, there would be alot of pissed off psp remake owners if they announced it like a few weeks or even a few months after that. although its HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY unlikley they would announced one, not for another year or 2 if even.
I'd have to say the PSP's grapgical capabilities aren't that far from the Wii's already. A PSP2 would smash the Wii graphically.
The PSP2 is going happen. Sony did far to well on the original, not to. It got farther than any Non Nintendo handheld ever has. And until the Lite came out, the PSP was actually pretty much winning the hadnheld race. Not bad. not bad at all for Sony's first try.
What I want....
Better D-pad, keep the buttons the same but just add another Analog stick and make them ANALOG/Joy-sticks... improved graphics of course probably XBOX/Wii graphics... and maybe the screen could shift like the Sidekick's and have a hidden keyboard for online games...
I would like to see psp 2 still look sleek and cool design, 2 analog sticks, Same ncie screen with better refresh rate, better internet, fast loading time, much more powerful)close to ps3), touch srceen? , and also build in HDD. Of course with all this psp2 is going to be hell expensive.

Ofcourse. Not all wii games are in great graphics. Some has crap graphics.. Same goes to xbox/360/ps3/DS/ps2. lol If you compare the crap graphics of a console to psp probably they're in the same level.
As of now the PSP has a slight advantage over the Wii but that will probably change in the coming years.

What is with the fascination with two analog sticks? I don't recall myself really using the second stick on my PlayStation One, let alone finding any games that really put it to use. We're not missing much. Why would I want to control a PlayStation Home character on a portable gaming system? How would that benefit my gaming experience?xMedHeadx
I know. Not all PS1 games needed to use any analog even if they supported it. The gamer demo since 1997 has gotten way to used to the dual analog now to not know what to do without it (apparently PSP developers seem to also fall into this category). So even though in this archaic hindsight having only one analog works (N64 did it allright). todays standards need the second stick, and Sony thought the PSP didn't need one, and the new upgraded PSP still doesn't have one which IS dumb. They are already having a hardware memory upgrade that forks forward and backward compatible, so why couldn't they have added on the second stick that works in the same priciple. PS1 games could play regardless of analog or not.
that would indeed be awsome. what i would hope for would be a second joystick. maybe something like the x-box handheld thingie would look like if it were to come out. Duck_Zero
Microsoft already came out with a handheld......its called a Zune, its really pathetic, it can do everything the PSP can except playing games ......and it looks like an ipod rip off
and PEOPLE, the psp NOW doesn't need 2 sticks.....as long as the DS has ZERO sticks be happy with the ONE you have :D (and don't say something like "but the DS has a touch screen", when i play FPS's on the thing i have to switch the controls from the touch pad to the buttons because the touchpad is backwards and it sucks!!)
with all the things you guys are suggesting , can you imagine the price? its going to be atleast double of what the psp is right now.kingrich06
By todays standards it would be double the price........but the PSP2 isn't coming out right now....... it'll probably come out around 3-5 years from now and by that time these technologies will be much cheaper, so the price would be generally around what it is now $200-$250 not more

Don't bash the Zune, and it DOESN'T look anything like an ipod(interface and actual casing), and yeah theres about 5 other mp3 players that do the EXACT same thing as the ipod. Yeah with your reasoning, you could say the psp is a rip off of the ipod cause it plays games, music, and videos, yeah JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER MP3 PLAYERS OUT THERE.
Two analog sticks hell yeah
wii graphics not so sure about that cause are the same as Gamecube, but yeah it should be a little better than ps2
also ps2 games like the ps1 on the PSN for download (HD needed, but where should it go?????) (yeah, swap between HD and UMD drive LOL) (Also support for every existing video, music, image extensions)
blue ray umds, hope it can be done, would be around /counts with fingers......, /takes out calculator.... 10Gb or so.... NICE!
killzone FPS please, ability to play PSP1 Umds (LOL)
