Has anyone else received this? I just did but I am being cautious. The name is obviously home beta, and to be honest it looks legit with what they had in there, but Im always skeptical about these things; It makes things safe for me....anyway, does anyone know if this is real because it was asking for my email and password, then it noted that the beta would be downloaded onto my system. Again, if someone can answer this for me, I'd be grateful.

By the way: SO sorry if there are already mulitple topics on this. I didnt check, clumsy me. Well thanks anyway and please help.

Sony will never contact you over the PSN.. don't give them any information... report the account and move along.

Do not fall for this, Sony already has your email and password. They have no need for it.

Of course it's fake, the real deal asks you for a bank account.

They would never ask for your password thats normally stated in the Terms of Agreement. Is there even a Home Beta yet?

all betas are given out as codes sent to your email that you then enter into your ps3.

they can't remotely download something onto your PS3.

The beta has been running for months- I was acceprted into it a couple of weeks ago due to having the Home theme downloaded from the PlayStation Store.

Anyhoo, for anyone else that gets that message the TC got do NOT reply back with anything other than maybe an insult for thinking you are that gullible. Sony already has the info they need so they would not need to ask for it over the PM system. If allowing you in the beta they will send the code to the e-mail associated with your PSN ID.

this is exactly y i dont have my PSN name shown to display my tropies, cuz they prob go to places to like this to get PSN names, then try and and get info to steal your account and hopping you have your Credit card info in it. Just don't fall for the messages, all the real stuff goes to your email.
