Yeah it's true. It's not an improvement, it's just a preferred setting. It's been accessible since day 1.

Not day one but a while back 1.80 update I think. You need a TV that supports it though

I have heard about that recently. Just got my HDMI cables in the mail like 10 minutes ago so i'll try it out after work.

I have heard about that recently. Just got my HDMI cables in the mail like 10 minutes ago so i'll try it out after work.Darthmatt

You can easily see the difference just sitting in the settings and switching from Limited to Full.

would it still be good if i change the rgb full range to full even when im on composite cables? i'm still running on an sdtv =[

The difference is very apparent; I'm pretty sure the reason it isn't already on those settings is for SDTV owners.
