Bolton describes a June 2019 Group of 20 summit at which Trump asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to help him win the 2020 election.

“He stressed the importance of farmers, and increased Chinese purchases of soybeans and wheat in the electoral outcome. I would print Trump’s exact words but the government’s prepublication review process has decided otherwise,” Bolton writes, according to The Washington Post.

It's very damning stuff, if true. And many things that 100% match his past behavior. The White House is pretty scared and really want to shut him up it seems. Or at least that's how they are coming off.

If everyone who works with him says the same stuff about him, if everybody who watches him says the same stuff about him, when even people who like him say the same things about him (framed as a good thing of course), then it's probably true.

I don't think Trump is the most damaging president we have had, but I do think given time we will find out, factually, that he is probably one of the most corrupt.

I still can't believe Bolton--BOLTON!--of all people wrote a book that more or less rats out the president. Thought the dude was a loyalist, but I guess being fired sort of changes things.

Standing by my prediction we're going to get an Oscar-worthy move out of this in a decade or so.

This makes me think of an article I read yesterday that some Chinese officials hope that trump wins the re-election because of how divisive he is towards other countries. A Joe biden win could mean that countries could be more united against some Chinese issues. Maybe, that is why some officials are rooting for Trump because of a warming relationship between him and Xi?

Bolton of course the craven loser that he is could've testified during the impeachment trial and sealed the deal, but instead chose to make a quick buck. He's no hero, just another worthless Republican with dollar signs in his eyes.

Although the allegations seem to match with what Trump has done or would have done, I'm not as inclined to agree that it actually happened. The China bit is just so damning though.

Curious if the statements in the book are backed up with enough evidence to start an investigation. Not sure what the rules are on multiple impeachment attempts or whatever, but if even one of the things I read is true, it's pretty damn awful.
