This looks pretty bad for CNN, don't you think? Haven't been paying too much attention but I think they might be having a bad streak.

Every time something is pushed on news is because of ratings. Kind of obvious by now.
I won't argue with that :) But usually there are some ethical guidelines, which the CNN producer didn't seem to take very seriously based on his comments in the video.
All major stations do this. This is childs play compared to Fox.....
Do you have evidence for this?
Are people even surprised? There's a reason why the CNN is known as the Counterfeit news network or the Clown new network.
Do you have evidence for this?
I will not claim that hard, smoking gun evidence exists. On the other hand, would you argue that any successful, influential media company values honesty and ethics over profit?
Newsflash......the news media....all of it...is interested in ratings. If you didn't know that then you are very naive.
Project Veritas is a scam created by a known scam artist who got sued for scams like this, to fool gullible rubes and conservatives wanting justification for their world view.

@n64dd: You imagine others having melt downs way too much. Perhaps you are projecting?
I see somebody representing CNN at a high level saying they abuse a hot political subject for ratings. You start making a conspiracy about it.
I call it as I see it, melt down.
So this could be taken multiple ways, first is that the whole Russian collusion/obstruction of justice story is largely false (given all the investigations this isn't likely, but Trump supporters will lean towards this due to bias), and the second is that they cover the story far more often than there are actual updates to the story. My guess is that the second option is the true meaning, but I don't tune in to CNN so I can't really say how much they cover it.
What's with these videos with someone saying 3 sentences being stretched to 10 min? Just show the whole damn thing once and be done with it; we don't need the repeats or the cuts...
Anyway...is this surprising? They have very little to show for so they just go on tangents and stall until (hopefully for them) something does show up...keep "news" at a simmer for as long as it's needed and then when you want it to boil you only have to dial it up a small bit...that's news for people with short attention spans in a nutshell...all tv stations do it, and yes, it sucks. Does it prove anything other than the fact CNN is mostly interested in ratings? You didn't know that?

I also like this one.
This guy is a supervisor of CNN Health...what does he have to do with politics? And why would PV make it sound like he's more involved than he is? The guy keeps saying "I think", "I feel", "maybe"...there's no real info there so why the big presentation? Well, it's in the image. Because it's ratings.

lol precisely my point, gullible rubes. Enjoy being conned by a known con artist.

I'm a supervisor at my job guys. I think sometimes I feel my place of work is trying to ___________ and do ______________. Oh god, it must be true!!!
As for Project "Veritas" (a misnomer if there ever was one):
founded by James O'Keefe, a conservative lying douchebag who if you look up "agenda" in the dictionary, you'd see a picture of him next to it. You guys remember that whole ACORN scandal back in the day (wasn't that long ago) that some nuts still claim was a real thing? Well this is the guy that illegally entered political offices, illegally recorded conversations, then edited them to misrepresrent what was happening so it looked like ACORN was doing something wrong. To his credit, O'Keefe was actually really really good at being a colossal prick and convincing congress, so funding was pulled from ACORN but eventually this guy went to court, was found guilty (yay!), and everything made right.
Listen, you want to watch CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, a variety of other legit (waits for laugh from the extremists...) outlets that's cool...but you use this guy as your source, your credibility is gone. I mean, ooooooooooh really scary, but you should verify this with other sources. O'Keefe is a known as master manipulator, if you believe this you are being led down a path to your own demise.
Do not believe this prick.
@mrbojangles25: I vaguely remember that...not being American this wasn't a huge thing here but didn't O'keefe have to pay damage to one of the guys he got fired because of his edited footage that made it sound like they were conspiring to steal stuff or whatnot?
All major stations do this. This is childs play compared to Fox.....

Lol? Turn on Hannity and Tucker, that is all the citation you need. They are preaching to their viewership with an extreme far right bias for ratings. They bash CNN and MSNBC for doing exactly what they do (although those two do it to a lesser extent). It's an hour of how Republicans are god and the "Dems" are demons. It's hilarious. It's cartoonish. If you are independent or centrist 5 minutes in you are laughing your ass off, it's more nutty than Colbert.
But if you actually need data of the obvious,

Fox is another arm of the GOP. You can't say the same for CNN because they actually fire these people who go extreme. Although they aren't THAT much better. Neither of these cable news networks are upstanding. It's just that Fox is the worst of them, with the most bias and least informed viewers.
CNN is just fake news for the left. This is hillarious to me though . All the idiots that claimed they were centrist.

In general CNN is trash but its not fake news bud. The only fake news here is what started the thread :^)

They aren't centrist. They just happen to be more centrist than the other stations. All of them blow. But hey, At least they retract and fire the fake news. Fox makes it into their 2 major prime-time shows.
@zaryia: Wait wasn't it you that was blabbering about Trumps collusion with Russia?
No. In fact, I'm on the record saying he likely did not collude. I believe you're imaging things as is the OP and his fake news video.
I "blabbed" about Russian interference, which is now confirmed by the NSA, CIA, FBI, and DHS. Republican politicians no longer even deny it, and now blame Obama. And I agree with them. But Trump is complicit with the same inaction for 5 months now, even though those organizations are now ramping up precautions. He doesn't believe them.
Nope. It would be too honorable too push this narrative for ratings. They are doing it because they are an arm of the Democratic party. They are simply trying to delegitimize the Republican president.
Proof? They give the most air-time to both sides compared to Fox or MSNBC who mostly give air time to one side. Do they still suck? Yes. But at least they try to suck less than the other two.
Fox is a FAR bigger arm of the GOP than CNN is of the DNC. Almost to the point of cartoonishness.
All three stations are trash, you won't hear me say otherwise. But lets not do false equivalencies.
@drlostrib: Yes they do and Zaryia is completely right, James O' Keefe is notorious for deceptively editing his documentaries to make his subjects look bad. It amazes me how some can still fall for his ruse.
Nope. It would be too honorable too push this narrative for ratings. They are doing it because they are an arm of the Democratic party. They are simply trying to delegitimize the Republican president.
Right because harping on the emails during the end of the election cycle was very very helpful to the Democrats.. LOL the lack of logic....
Its literally a giant red herring for the public to ensure we don't focus on important matters that neither party wants to address..
This cycle is reminding me of the same reasoning for why someone drinks diet pepsi over pepsi. It's not as bad for you, even if it is still bad for you. But as long as pepsi exists it helps you feel better about doing something bad because you could always be doing something worse.
At least 2020 will be an easy walk, since there are no high roads to travel.
Speaking of "FAKE NEWS!", looks like Trump takes that label quite well. Saw this on Neogaf:
Real issue on left, FAKE one on right, which is hanging in Trump's clubs. I wonder how much more evidence is required for his sheep to realize that they are the victim of a con and phony? Lol, I love this. The media may lie, but at least they attempt to do so cleverly....this guy is shameless in his blatancy because he knows his supporters will swallow anything he says no matter how obviously false. How pathetic.
And now Van Jones gets caught saying the Russia/Trump narrative is a bunch of bullshit

So where's the rest of the video? Considering the sources previous history of taking things massively out of context and heavilyediting their videos, I really won't trust a 3 second long clip from them.
