Remember when the left was ripping him for this?.... turns out he was right again.
I googled that topic and saw nothing else reported that it worked for covid. I also looked at your link which was not peer reviewed and I'm not putting any credibility into your trump defense.
@LJS9502_basic: lol the far leftist denies another study that doesn't fit his narrative..
I'm not a far leftist and a study without support means little to nothing.
I saw it, but it hasn't finished peer review yet has it?
Interesting, but a bit too early for me to crow "Trump was right!" :)
@sheep99: Perhaps you skipped the link. Try reading it and get back to me. It's backed by a study so their is no Confirmation that what he said on this was false.
@sheep99: Perhaps you skipped the link. Try reading it and get back to me.
I read it. Doesn't change the fact that the medical community disagrees with your non reviewed link.

The medical community hasn't done a complex study to refute it. The argument was that there was no proof and this is the first step in showing that there is proof it actually worked.

You want them to prove a negative?
https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/can-hydroxychloroquine-treat-covid-19
From the link:
The findings indicate that those taking hydroxychloroquine as a stand-alone drug treatment were at higher risk of death than those who did not take hydroxychloroquine.
Observational study is the gutter swill of scientific research, it's basically at best the first step in the scientific process, by no means proof of anything. And the study also says it isn't peer reviewed. Also the author is a right wing shill who writes for the Washington Examiner.
You should really read before you post something like it's a gotcha because this is just self-ownage.

When you spray a fully automatic gun at the broad side of a barn for years on end, you are prone to land a few hits.
If Trump’s claims miraculously happen to coincide with fact, don’t ascribe that to his judgement or his renowned respect for facts and evidence. Ascribe it to the statistical probability of a man who throws so much bullshit against the wall in the hope something will stick that, guess what? Something eventually will.
I can pull claim after claim after claim after claim after claim out of my ass and inadvertently hit the truth eventually. That means absolutely nothing except blind luck. If anything, Trump’s success with the truth (if in fact that’s what this even is) simply exemplifies the amount of pure garbage he spews with every breath he musters. Why don’t you look at the amount of (proven) lies he’s told contrasted to the truth instead of selectively choosing one that favors him while conveniently ignoring all the others that don’t?
It’s beyond laughable that anyone could believe this person is on point on anything given his track record. He spews so much crap out of his hole every time he speaks that eventually, accidentally, the truth will be told.
Congratulations, I guess? 🙄
Welp, this thread backfired hard. By people merely using the source provided xD
That study has not passed peer review, and there is a much larger of actual peer reviewed stuff that seems to mostly disprove it.
Peer review is one of the most important processes of the scientific method.

Sorry but that's nonsense. The reality is people hated him so much that they wanted to say he was wrong without even looking into it. There is now a possibility that there is real credibility to his claims here much like the Wuhan Lab theory the left also dismissed... then the lies about the police clearing protesters for Trumps Bible pictures.. which was officially debunked.. If these things turn out to be true that will not be a good look for the left... they proved they didn't care if he was right they were going to lie and smear him no matter what.

There are no credible studies that disapprove it. They were trying to debunk it two weeks after he said it. Hardly enough time to run s accurate study on a virus they proved to know so little about.

It’s not nonsense.
Irrespective of the feelings towards Trump, he is, objectively speaking, a pathological liar. His track record evidences as much. If we’re to follow the logic of your argument, Trump is only lying because the Left hates him, which is what is nonsense.
The vast majority of his claims would remain garbage if he were universally adored. It’s just more proof of how TDS has people making him out to be the poor victim. He’s not.
@silentchief: There are no credible studies to prove it…..
Once it gets peer reviewed this would be the most credible study.

Trump is boastful and exaggerates things due to a massive ego... however that does not dismiss that the media was caught lying continuously and making shit up about him while dismissing everything he said when it appears some of the things he said that were labeled as right wing conspiracy theories could in fact now be true.

Do you have to have a meltdown everytime you get news you don't like?

Everything Trump says should be presumed false and dismissed on general principle until proven otherwise. The media treats him as if he’s a con man because he is.
Maybe if he didn’t lie 99.5% of the time, he’d be granted the benefit of the doubt from the off. His supporters seem to have no trouble with his lies, except when he is held to their consequences.
...but then it becomes easy: just frame him the victim and blame everyone else.

The location changes literally nothing. Get better content from your botfarm manager next time, you aren't worth the rubles as is.
i don't see the point here. whether trump was ultimately right or wrong is immaterial.
at the time trump was touting the drug there had been no solid scientific evidence to confirm the drug ( or combination of drugs in this case ) effectiveness. that sentiment was echoed by the members of the scientific community, including fauci ( who weirdly is now seen as some kind of enemy of the people by some on the right, but that's another topic ).
so a study comes out months and months later showing that the drug(s) may be effective. that's great. it means potentially more weapons in the arsenal to fight the disease.
what we should NOT do however, it support of use of untested treatments en masse before we 1) know the potential side affects, particularly those that may be exacerbated by the ailment we're trying to fight. and 2) based simply on preliminary anecdotal evidence ( hence the high initial bar for administering the drug(s) at the time ) or, worse yet, the urgings of a politician.
So we should all listen when the president suggest treatment that is untested for a certain disease? Force our doctors to write a prescription if necessary?
It was doctors suggesting it. Doctors familiar with the disease and the drug. Trump relayed that information. I am not sure what your problem is with a drug we know is safe being used as a possible treatment that showed favorable signs in early testing. You do realize that happens every day in the medical field, don't you?

Stop changing the past. Long after the medical community said it wasn't helpful and could cause severe problems, he was telling people to use it. trump apologists are all alike.

The medical community? The "medical community" is not some homogenous collective hive mind. Your "news" sources cherry picked the ones that said what they wanted you to here, which evidently weren't the correct ones. Your bubble has failed you.

Denial again. It's laughable that you elevate trump, who sounds like he did poorly in school as an expert and ignore actual experts. Laughable and a bit sad this cult of personality is. He doesn't even have a decent personality so I guess that tells us about his base.
Do we also have confirmation that it's just a flu or if the virus disappeared by miracle in April 2020?
Thread obliterated. Trumper destroyed.
Not sure how I was destroyed? Do you have proof that the study has been debunked? Or are you just angry you got embarrassed in the CRT thread and tried to save face in here?

When did that happen? You are literally being reemed by the entire forum in that thread. Also stay on topic, one reeming at a time.
unless its peer review. i take it with a grain of salt. in a salt shaker
Yeah.

Really? You don't think presidents have access to teams of medical professionals? Like the ones who said Hydroxychloroquine showed promising results, and was safe to take? You seem to believe these decisions were made in a vacuum, and the doctors making these recommendations don't exist just because they don't agree with your belief.
