I feel like this cycle is going to be both painful and beneficial for the Democrats. Large and messy primaries tend to hurt the candidates in that particular cycle, but Democrats need to find the primary planks of their platform moving forward.

As an independent and non-tribal, I can't possibly think it would be good for the country if that many seats were tilted right in the SCOTUS. Especially with so many hot button issues having center-left polling. Doesn't seem healthy.

Same goes for if there was a major left tilt.

But as to Warren, considering she is around 5% chance in the polls, it´s going to be hard for her to become president when she can´t even get past her own primary. And the other choice Harris is an even longer short.

If everything falls into the right spots, Biden will be the next Democratic presidential candidate and he stands the best chance of beating Trump.

Also, Warren needs to win the Democratic primary before she meets Trump in debates, and how the field is shaping up, it looks very very unlikely that she will even get past the 5 initial primaries.

If I were the president of the United States of America, the most powerful man in the world, no, I wouldn't concern myself with such matters. At that point it's far beneath my station and I'd have bigger issues to occupy my time with (one would think). Especially because it would be my job to be the one to protect their right to do their job, not demean and desire to eradicate that which doesn't push my partisan agenda and narrative.

Don't delude yourself, Trump has no interest in the "integrity" of journalism; only the integrity of kissing his ass at all times. It he acted respectably and like a grown up, he'd have a far, FAR easier time in the world of adults. You're correct, they don't have the right to lie. If Trump could prove a news organization knowingly lied about him, could sue them. But the man has trouble telling the difference between a lie and information he just doesn't like.
