Yup, he came during the shooting and stayed outside.

But he no longer has a job, but I am hoping they will consider pressing charges against him.

While I don't condom for the Cops action staying outside, but most cops have never ever been into a live gun situations. Even the Police were too afraid to handle that Vegas shooter because he was a higher level than then the ordinary Cops and that's what SWAT's are for to handle that situation.

Actually, cops are trained to enter a school shooting after Columbine, his job was to go in the instant he came to the scene and go after the gunman and take him out.

Even with training and a weapon, the officer stalled — and allowed the shooting to continue for about four to six minutes as he stood outside the building. The deputy, Scot Peterson, has since quit.

He had the chance to take out the gunman and a good chance of preventing more killing.

What I’d give to have a gun and an opportunity to confront these pieces of shit during the act. Fear’s a powerful motivator, but so is rage, and it’s one I’d argue can easily overcome a desire for self-preservation. I just don’t understand how those cops could sit outside and not have rage and hate pumping through their veins to the point they’d be seeing red thinking about all the past killings, and to go into the encounter with not the intention to protect, but to kill. I think most people would jump at the chance to be able to end the lives of these cowards.
