Why is this in Political Gamers? It's more of a social commentary (Off Topic) kind of deal...
but anyway, to answer the question, I don't blame them...it is the internet, after all.
I think it's less about being PC and more about avoiding a complete shitshow.

I'm mad about the censorship protecting the article from the many obvious responses people will have to it, responses that are not abusive or hate speech. I've long since accepted that journalists are going to pretty much all be far left now and incapable of not creating these stupid articles. But that they won't even let us call out their stupidity now... that they cut off any discussion on their stupid politics on the article itself, its just so pathetic.
So weak and pathetic.
Journalists are not "left", it's just the people that are "right" are so far gone to the right they don't realize what a moderate is anymore. If "1" is hippie-left, "7" is the middle, and "14" is the far-but-traditional right, the people complaining about the liberal bias in the media are about a 30. They're standing at 30 and going "Gee, you guys at 17 are so freaking liberal"
also calling Gamespot "journalism" is really, really, reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally pushing it.
