GOP withdrawing from the CPD is interesting, but it does not mean no GOP candidate will participate in any future presidential debates. Pretty valid criticism towards the CPD for the late timing of the debates and the credibility of the moderator.

They tried to do a virtual debate and this guy was sending out never trumper tweets and was supposed to moderate the debate. CSPAN had to put him on leave because he originally said he never typed those tweets and he was hacked. Then later admitted he wasn't hacked.

1. The Republican party is getting increasingly detached from reality.
2. 2 minutes is not long enough to meaningfully convey any idea. Just like with 140 character long twitter posts.
3. In the republican debates. Trump not attending one of the debates was a winning move.
4. Debates may be losing their relevance, Debates give politicians some much needed scrutiny. In the age of the internet, there are other ways to provide that. Among other things, fact checkers.
5. Realpolitik is going out of favor.

The Republican's not only have to debate their opponent but the moderator's as well. The debates are bullshit.

This never happened. They said there was bias in the 2020 debate moderation, no proof was given. The actual debates, not work history. Specific claims of 3vs1s, homefield "advantages", and prepared questions. I made no incorrect claims nor did I move any goal posts. I'm still stuck on asking them for proof since early on page one.

They refused to answer the above correctly, and again ran to one 2016 occurrence. Which in no way gives a real explanation for this 2024 exit.

Later on, SilentChief's and SargentD's finally found one 2020 example which appears to be fake, Steve Scully did not moderate unless you can show otherwise.
