I have had both my Pfizer shots. I work in the medical industry, so I got it early. How about you?
Yup, vaccinated. I work in food production so I got mine early as well (I think March?).
Thankful for it, too; I got COVID in July and it wasn't bad at all. Two nights of sore throat and three days of sniffle with a very mild fever the whole time.
Without the vaccine it could have been much worse, and I was also less likely to transmit to others.
Worst part was not having a sense of taste or smell for the week after, though. I really enjoy nice food so that sort of made it difficult.
Both Moderna. I do training and recruitment for work. I'm constantly around different people. Wife wouldn't shut up bout it.
I also have Moderna in my portfolio before the pandemic even started, when it was $18 💸
Moderna due to my mother line of work. she interacted with tons of people. then also due to surgery she had.
We make a point of going to see family once a year. No one was allowed to come who wasn't vaccinated, simple as that. This wasn't really negotiable since everyone who funds the trip were the ones insisting. So I ended up with my entire immediate family double-vaccinated by the end of May, as well as nearly all of the family on my mother's side. Not that I wouldn't have been vaccinated in that timeframe either way, but the ultimatum lit the fire so to speak.
Anything else from here, is anyone's guess, but I expect if boosters are recommended to the general public that I would take one of those as well. And sadly with current trajectory, we'll probably all need one annually or biannually for decades.
Nope and I don't intend on it either. I wouldn't consider myself anti-vax, I'm just not a lab rat and want to see the long term data before signing up to something I might regret.
Yeah, I coach kids and interact with up to 200 people a day, so there wasn't really a question. I was even able to get it early in mid March.
I've seen 4 friends/family members die from getting sick, and no worse than some mild symptoms from the vaccine. Please everyone, take the vaccine.
No, I don’t believe it should be forced either, and one of my careers is aiming to make the vaccine mandatory or else you are forced to take an unpaid leave before being terminated if you still refuse. The way most governments are going about this is very forceful and they are pigeon holing people into a position where they have to take it or else deal with huge inconveniences or loss of their income. I’m not anti vax but I refuse to bend over to these tyrannical policies.
I was on the fence about it but got it last June(J&J single shot). I was going to FL to see my brother who is paralyzed, and would have a hard time if he got covid. So I got it done mostly for that. Glad I did, as I was around a ton of people at a theme park there multiple days. I work in my daughters school now, so I definitely feel better that I decided to get the shot. After looking at who's in the hospital for covid lately, I'm not sure why most wouldn't want the shot. Those numbers seem pretty clear cut.
I rec'd both of my Pfizer shots last May. Most of my company is vaccinated so I'm quite happy to see this final push for the mandate. We're essentially creating a more healthy work environment and weeding out the nut bags that were working amongst us.
It's a win-win.
yes, got both, pfizer. I just don't get the arguments against it. Vaccines usually do take a few years for approval in normal times but the reality is, the technology used is old and very well known.
I even agree with russia releasing a vaccine back in march 2020 and giving their citizens a choice. That action saved lives...unlike here in US and the rest of the west, happy to go through the procedures while people died.

Any long term covid complications for those who didn't die?
Yes, I had both Pfizer shots. Better to be safe than sorry. I am scared of needles, but I got the jab to overcome one of my fears.
If you haven't had the vaccine, please get vaccinated and protect your loved ones... you selfish gits!
@horgen: None that I'm aware of. All the ones I knew that went onto a ventilator passed away.
I was thinking like lack of energy, trouble concentrating and so. Co-worker had it. While she is back 100% now, after having months with 50% workload, it seems like it takes very little for her to get stressed or sick again.
I haven't, and see no reason to do so. If I get sick, my immune system can handle it, and the level of immunity it provides would be superior than what the shots offer.
the vaccine would enhance your immune systems ability to handle it. it doesn't replace your immune system.
Interesting. Responses are about what I expected given the way most of you reply in this forum.
My question... regardless of your answer, your outing yourself as being on one side of the fence or the other. A simple yes or no would be one thing but the added commentary really paints some of you in a corner.
Why reveal if you're vaccinated or not to those here on Gamespot of all places?
Pfizer’s, fully.
I‘m amongst the immunocompromised community (years of previous chemotherapy and a stroke), so I think the efficacy of the vaccine is around halved in my case (50% or so instead of 90%+). Or so I’ve read.
Still better than nothing, but I don’t put my chances at all the greatest should I get infected.
@Telekill: You seem to be gloating about people “outting” themselves. And the ask was if you got the vaccine, you didnt answer that but chose to gaslight everybody in the thread.
@girlusocrazy: I only see things in a cynical manner anymore. Humanity is s**t and I'm ashamed to be part of the species.
Okay, maybe that can explain a few things. I hope things get better for you.
Have you thought of taking a break from thinking about this type of stuff and getting more involved in something that feels rewarding? What are you interested in that makes you happy? Something along that line of thinking.
You spend too much time thinking about one thing you can develop myopia. I mean you weren't always thinking about this type of stuff were you? What about happier times?
At the end of the day people go on with their lives and this stuff isn't what's central to their lives. It's their family, their friends, their experiences.
Take a step back.
Judging from his post he should take time off from forums/social media.
@LJS9502_basic: Actually I'm not on any social media. All social media has become a cesspool. Algorithms designed to create echo chambers and rage to get people to click more fake articles and generate revenue. I contact friends and family as I have since the 90s... phone calls.
Yep. Got the Moderna's in March and April, and -- barring them being out of stock -- getting my flu shot at CVS tomorrow.

??
its gamepot. who cares? being vaccinated or not is not some big secret.
i'm vaccinated. why? because it's the goddam way out of this fucking mess.
Yeah, cuz it's American as fuuck. Support your local community to fight a deadly virus that's killing people. I want to slow it down as much as possible, and stop it from continuously mutating. I think it's important that most people get vaccinated, so i got the shot.
