National Monuments Could Be In Trouble

Trump has ordered a full review of national monument designations from 1996 to the present that span at least 100,000 acres.

Trump says that this review will "end another egregious use of government power,” and "end these abuses and return control to the people, the people of all of the states, the people of the United States.”

What exactly is the purpose of this executive action? Why would we possibly need to use National Monuments land for anything other then nature and beauty?

"end another egregious use of government power" = stop listening to what the people want, deregulate what has been decided upon fairly

"end these abuses and return control to the people" = open up the land to the highest bidder

"...the people of all the states, the people of the United States" = rich fat cats, corporations. Generally when he means regular people, he says "Americans".

Those places could use a few Trump towers and a golf course or two.

Private industry could be cutting those up and selling them. This is what's so disgusting about Republicanism.
