She thinks it's racist against blacks to have plexiglass. I guess her constituents are all criminals.

Source because of Fox News stigma when it's the local news:

Dont want to fight racism by increasing social services and providing jobs with livable wages....... lets tackle the issue of Plexiglas at the corner store.

Alternative headline could be "Idiots are everywhere".

Seriously, why even acknowledge shit like this? I mean, unless you're in Philly, WTF why do we need to hear this? Just stirring that pot of hate at this point...

I know that people sort of latch on to the dumbest example of a person in a differing political tribe to define large sections of the group (and for the record this is really really dumb), but this is such a transparent attempt to do so.

Yes, but its true and its what neoliberals do to address problems like racism. Because addressing racism in a real way actually means spending our money properly, not giving tax breaks to corporations and the rich, addressing our public schools, etc. Essentially addressing social classes and neoliberals (nor neoconservatives) have no interest in doing this, so they focus on stupid shit. Malcolm X and MLK and Orwell nailed it, capitalism is the problem.

Not every statement made about racism is politically motivated.

I mean... given that its generally an agreement or disagreement with the current state of a government... yah it kind of is. Its actually next to impossible to separate the two.

NP, that was my intent. Although it would be nice if you recognized that simply because this was the case, it makes the highlight of this attempted legislation no less valid. Which if we actually want to solve any kind of problems this country has, seems to me would be the thing we focus on instead of petty team red and blue bullshit.

From a service perspective, it doesn't exactly promote a positive service behaviour towards customers.
From a safety perspective and this being in the US, it makes sense to ensure the safety of workers.

You don't expect me to believe that, do you?

Isn't safety an issue? This is such an easy security measure to take. Why make it illegal?

lol Sometimes I'm just not that clever. I'm not exactly a pun master.

I agree though that this woman is being incredibly stupid in fighting to get bulletproof glass taken down because "discrimination", I just don't like it when people use this story to make it seem like every democrat is as stupid as her, and that it was a transparent attempt to do exactly that.

maybe its 67% not sure.

appears the accurate is 60% of all violent crime is commited by white people. I just did some searching.

looking at this however there is only a 6% difference in violent crimes between whites and blacks, so I dont know. best go with gut right

Not that I want in your argument but you do know Caucasians make up the largest percentage of the population? If you want a fair assessment of crime you have to base it on percentage of a specific race to see if the crime rate is high or not. Also you should divide out non violent offenders.

In the interest of fairness anyway.............

One moron does not define a race or a political party. I cant stand how people attribute an entire group of people to the actions of one person. People are individuals.
