Republicans have launched a bid to remove the Department of Justice official overseeing the Russia inquiry dogging Donald Trump's presidency.

Impeachment would have to be approved by a majority in the House and backed by two-thirds of the US Senate to convict Mr Rosenstein, which makes the plan a long shot.

Two of the most conservative members of the House of Representatives have their press release and flurry of media coverage for introducing articles of impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. That's probably all they will get.

The motion, as introduced, is unlikely to see any kind of a vote. House Speaker Paul Ryan, along with many other Republicans, don't want it. They know a real push for impeachment would tear their party asunder.

This isn't a great look for the party, but it will play well in the most conservative districts.

The more autocratic Trump becomes, the more extremist republicans turn, the more their base approve of both of their actions. It's a scary time for the future of democracy in the U.S

Trump statements of 'dont believe anything you read or see its not what is really happening' is a classic brainwashing tactic that usually is employed toward the end of its life of effectiveness

at least I would think

I do know that hearing 'dont believe anything you read or see its not what is really happening' is considered a warning sign when subscribing to religious cults

To be honest, he's becoming more extreme as time goes on. This month it has been insane. I believe he knows his time is running up. Cohen is going to spill the beans and he needs to do everything possible to stop him.

The clock is ticking.

It's disgusting. The Fox News comments section on facebook is giving me syphilis. They basically say keywords like "Best president", "Maga", "Obama worst", "Impeach", "Drain the swamp"

I mean, it appears almost like a cult. Not to mention they are some of the most disgusting human beings I've seen. I don't wish harm even on my worst enemy, not even on Trump. But yesterday these fake christians laughing and celebrating Katy Perry's hospitalization for the overdose. I mean wtf?

It's good to see they have their priorities straight.

And this is somehow worse than the extreme democrats trying right after Trump got democratically elected to impeach him how?
