I'm going to the voting booth tomorrow to vote as it's the first day I can do so in person. I know that I could have before today by mail, but unfortunately I don't feel I can trust the mail right now unfortunately thanks to Trump trying to mess it up.

Anyways, have you voted yet? If not, what's your plan to vote? In person? By mail? And when are you going to get it done?

In person, hell or high water, the 3rd. With my parents so they can know my vote nullifies one of theirs for the orange embarrassment.

@MirkoS77: ‘my vote nullifies one of theirs’

And both of theirs ‘trumps’ yours.

Sorry, too tempting to not mention that.

First day of early voting in my town is Oct 17. I'll be going in person to my town hall to check the box for Biden.

@MirkoS77: I'd argue against it. If you get sick, have an emergency, can't get transportation, etc. you may not get the chance to vote.

I am going on election day and will until I die.

I do it ceremoniously - take a 1/2 day off, do some recreational activities, and hang out with friends. Been voting since I was a senior in HS. Love it.

I finally voted today. I know I did so later than I expected to, but there are some complications in my life right now that delayed me from doing so for a while.

Anywho, done and done. I hope the rest of you get to it before it's too late.

Funny side story about voting today. I went to the polling location shortly after it opened and encountered a long line. I hopped onto the end of it and settled in for a long wait, but a poll worker informed me that since I live in a rural area of the county I could go straight to the booth as the long line was for the urban area at the heart of my county.

A few things to note about this:

This is a positive indication for turnout. I have NEVER encountered a line for early voting in my county before.

It will likely be easier for those of you in Trump-leaning districts to vote than it will be for those in Biden leaning districts to vote, Be prepared for the possibility of a wait.

Polls are indicating that early voting has been leaning Democratic, but they also indicate that those who intend to vote on election day lean Republican just as strongly. My limited experience has borne this out. Don't get complacent.

Hahaha, it's definitely not a great situation, for sure. I bring it up because I want to make sure people are prepared for a wait if necessary. Don't let the situation rob you of your voice.

I just got back from voting. Democratic ticket as much as I could, but a lot of the locals were running unopposed and the machine won't let me NOT vote in a selection. Should seriously be a NONE OF THE ABOVE selection.

Huh, I just assumed all voting methods allowed you to leave a section blank. I've been doing so intentionally for over a decade now.

Main reason I’m voting in person is to go with my parents (Trump supporters) so I can have the satisfaction of flipping them the bird.

Not American, I will vote next year though for my country's general election. The Sweden Democrats (Swedish Trump Party) must not be allowed to get any more power.

SD are to my surprise negative to Fremskrittspartiet here. I guess the latter is to pro democrazy for them. Or not negative enough to immigrants.

Do you get your voting ballots in the mail in Sweden as well?

Yup, and everyone 18 or above is automatically registered to vote, provided they are swedish citizens and have been a resident here.

More than 47 million ballots have already been cast, roughly a third of the 2016 total with 12 days to go until election day.
