Democrats never learn, Jeez. At least he's not giving them subpeona power.
https://thehill.com/homenews/sunday-talk-shows/418128-top-oversight-dem-i-wont-restore-subpoena-rights-to-republicans
Work with them to do what? There's not a single issue republicans are even remotely sane on so what's the point?
there should be no working with republican scumbags on any issue, because there is no alignment on the core issues. When a con party like the republicans denies a scientific established fact like climate change, there can be never be any real teamwork or peace. The scumbags need to die first before any real progress can happen.
@n64dd: funny enough, im fairly conservative in financial issues. On deficit and spendings I'm also conservative. I believe transportation funding should not made unless the population numbers or growth projections add up. I'm strongly for paying down the debt. I'm strongly against spending so much on the military. It's a big time scam, you could buy free health care for everyone in the US for a fraction of the military budget. On social issues I lean liberal, but it's more like my views are based on common sense. If a woman wants to have an abortion that's up to her and her husband/bf/family to decide. Nobody else should step in, but the cons believe they should. I'd call the cons the real SJWS when it comes to insignificant social issues like this. Same story with the gays and the trannies....who really cares?? The trannies have been using the women's bathrooms pretty much all this time, so what does it really matter?
I strongly support environmental protection laws, it's really the only thing the government should interfere in. I'm pro legal immigration and against illegals. I'm strongly against government interference in the free market economy, against protections for corporations.
I don't believe in welfare, and think government should instead help people find jobs.
I'm probably more of a conservative than you are, much less of an SJW than you. Fact is the Republican party has turned into a piece of turd. The liberals are also pretty bad, but the stench of the Republicans is far worse.
Screw the GOP, they don't deserve a seat at the table right now.
Good to know you have a problem with democracy.
The people voted the GOP out of power in the House, and the new majority can either reach across the aisle or move forward alone. Our democracy gave them this power.
Go peddle your perverse interpretations of 'democracy' somewhere else.
Screw the GOP, they don't deserve a seat at the table right now.
Good to know you have a problem with democracy.
Diversity is our strength, comrade.
Now screw all those people who have ideas different from our own.
Reap what you sow.
Screw the GOP, they don't deserve a seat at the table right now.
Good to know you have a problem with democracy.
The chairman is granting the GOP more involvement than they granted the Democrats this term.
The hypocrisy will be lost on him and others. The same crowd that are suddenly silent on fiscal matters of this administration while clamoring about austerity measures for 8 years prior.
Screw the GOP, they don't deserve a seat at the table right now.

And the people voted to get the GOP even more seats in the Senate.
So your point? Democrats can either be like you and go cry in the corner and get nothing done except run around and cry and demand Trump deliver some tax papers that has zero meaning or try to work for all Americans. You know the thing both sides should always do.
And I do not care that the GOP has not done the same, GOP has never claimed to be the morally superior party.
Screw the GOP, they don't deserve a seat at the table right now.

And? remember "if they go low we go high" since that is what will stop dividing the country more and more.

Once again, I refer you to Serraph's thread that you continue to exemplify.
That's a sucker's bet when the opposition continues to take advantage of the situation by going low time and time again.

That's a sucker's bet when the opposition continues to take advantage of the situation by going low time and time again.
And once again your side can do the exact same thing and divide the country, even more, all you want but you will pay the price.
Remember it was the Democrats who began this hate party first, so it´s only fitting they are the ones reaching out an olive branch.
Screw the GOP, they don't deserve a seat at the table right now.

Fortunately, I don't have to delve into the math of the Senate races this cycle at all because these are purely house rules. The Senate is irrelevant.
LOL, what? You can't be serious with that phrase.

And? i know a lot of Democrats was up for re-election and only 9 Republicans, but the Democrats lost 3 Senate races they were favourites to win, 2 were the encumbered was a Democrat.
Which phrase? because you hopefully don´t deny that the left and Democrats have long claimed to be the only truth out there.

I got that, wanted to make sure.
But when has the GOP claimed to be the morally superior party on the same level as the Democrats? GOP argue politics the Democrats argue morality.

Any time the abortion and drugs are brought up, during the embrace of the moral majority, and whenever they wield their family values branding.
They've branded themselves as the arbiters of Judeo Christian values for decades.

Don't care, irrelevant.

It's great that you resort to calling people 'cry babies' when your inane logic is challenged in the slightest. But of course you don't care, you're a hypocrite. And LOL at the GOP not claiming to be the moral party. They coined the term 'Moral Majority'.
It's astonishing at the level of dishonesty to continue to exhibit on a daily basis. The thread is about the power of the House, not the Senate.
I got that, wanted to make sure.

He's essentially admitted that the GOP is in fact, morally bankrupt. This is ignoring the obvious truth of the republican party claiming the high ground for decades.
Screw the GOP, they don't deserve a seat at the table right now.
Good to know you have a problem with democracy.
Jacanuk while Republicans held power: Everything Republicans do is justified, if you have a problem with extreme partisanship then you have a problem with the democratic results of elections!
Jacanuk while Democrats hold power: If they don't cater to Republican interests then they're destroying democracy!
Thanks for showing your hypocritical colors once again.

Not true. Obama tried to work with Republicans and they refused. Do you guys seriously not understand the truth or is just convenient to ignore it.
@LJS9502_basic: exactly, there should no longer be any negotiations or good will beyond this election. Screw the gop
Not true. Obama tried to work with Republicans and they refused. Do you guys seriously not understand the truth or is just convenient to ignore it.
I might be wrong, but didn't Reps specifically state they would do whatever they can to stop any suggestion from Obama?

Yes and Yes.
Bad move. There is no working with radicals like republicans. They need to be opposed at every turn.
Like the economy, employment, national security, equality. Your side offers class warfare, wealth redistribution, feel good policies for problems that don't get fixed, free everything with no way to pay for it, healthcre for everyone which means healthcare for no one. Progressive policies always generate the opposite of their stated intent.

Like the time he invited them to work on the Affordable Care Act and the only thing Obama did was insult Eric Cantor at the meeting in which all of the Republicin suggestions were thrown in the circular file with even considering them, or when the Democrats held committee meetings and did not inform the Republicans of the meetings. Don;t try to pull your crap with me I know what has happened.

Instead of corporate wealth fare and overspending on the military funnel the money to education and healthcare. Which helps all those who contribute as opposed to your wealth distribution to the wealthy. See trump tax cuts.

When Obama was voted in the GOP had one thing to say, let's make him a one term president and obstruct. This is straight from the mouth of Mitch McConnell and is backed by the astronomically high abuse of the filibuster against everything Obama even put forward. Pretending that the GOP wanted to work in good faith is laughable. They had no intention of doing it, and by doing so they have helped create the current political climate we live in. What's good for the goose isn't good for the gander apparently, the hypocrisy is palpable.
It's quite clear that you don't even have a rudimentary grasp on reality or how the world works. You claim that climate change is a hoax in other threads, and have repeatedly claimed that the US is 211 trillion dollars in debt (however you're never able to tell me who owns this debt). And now you're trying to paint a picture of the democrats being the ones wholly bent on keeping the GOP out of the picture. Face it, you live in a delusional fantasy. Every one see it but you.

Climate change is a hoax. It is political science not true science.

Man you're a joke.
The Democrats and Obama compromised on key issues such as healthcare but to no benefit as the GOP continued their hate fest.
Love the historical revisionism from the neo confederates. Time to oust them!
