@drunk_pi: the funny thing is...

https://www.google.com/amp/s/fox43.com/2018/09/24/trump-administration-moves-260m-from-cancer-research-other-programs-to-help-pay-for-custody-of-immigrant-children/amp/

Trump administration moves $260M from cancer research, other programs to help pay for custody of immigrant children

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Trump administration is planning to shift more than $260 million to cover the rising cost and strain of housing thousands of undocumented immigrant children in their custody – including millions of dollars from programs like cancer research and HIV/AIDS prevention.

The request comes as the program has been strained by record-high levels of children in custody, driven in large part by new policies that are holding kids longer and making it more difficult for them to be released to adults, such as family members.

It also comes amid news that the Department of Health and Human Services once again could not locate 1,500 children it had released over a three-month period.

@blackballs: Its not worth replying to because you have nothing. Your a far left nut job like most of the wackjobs on this forum.

The UN hates trump... we get it? Guess what we don't care and the only ones that do are far left globalist like yourself. Who should Trump be like? May, Macron or Merkel ? Three leaders that have lower approval ratings then him. Yes hes a shameless self promoter and hes thin skinned but at least he gives a giant middle finger to globalist.

UN doesn't hate Trump. Trump made himself look like a fool and doesn't understand the concepts of tariffs, trade, international law and so on. The international community sees him as a fool and rightfully so.

Oh but he gave a middle finger to the "globalists" while kissing Putin's ring and praising dictators around the world? and that's okay? Btw, Russia has been screwing with us politically by disrupting our elections and our foreign policy and Trump wants "better relations" with Russia.

He's giving a middle finger to democratic countries while kissing ass to strongmen.

He very likely still confused why the 'Attorney General' does actually mean he is a General under Trumps control.

@drunk_pi: Do you understand the concepts of tariffs or international law? Please explain to me why it's ok for US citizens to buy anything from China yet they ban our products over there and then make cheap knock offs and sell them within their own country and throughout the world. China is shady as **** and always has been. I can't blame him one bit for what hes doing as they continually get away with shit that no other countries dream of.

Vladimir Putins puppet? Really? Bombing Syria makes him a Putin puppet? And outside of hacking emails and exposing the Democrats what exactly did the Russians do? Outside of showing the US citizens the truth about the Democratic party they really didn't do much. They didn't hack voter boxes for **** sake. You have the entire media and tech companies campaigning for the left and you get butthurt because Russia uncovers the truth and exposes the democrats?

because american companies profit greatly from having their manufacturing in china.

There isnt really a consumer market for products from china, its all business to business products.

business is not about 'fairness' its about what is in our best interest. we cant make another country to do things they do not want to do, so our option is to either take advantage of opportunities or not do so.

Do you?

Tariffs place a tax on American citizens and industries, which causes a ripple effect on price and whether or not a company stays in business or not. Also, the country you're placing tariffs on, can place tariffs on us as well. Also, trade wars aren't easy to win, contrary to what Trump said.

Also, the bombings in Syria weren't effective at all. Sorry to burst your bubble but Trump has done jack shit when it comes to international security other than allow the Obama doctrine to continue which has reduced ISIL's presence in the Middle East. While the administration has been tough on Russia, Trump himself favors Russia numerous times whereas officials continue to work around or resist him.

Jeez, Trumpflakes are getting desperate.

I don't know what's sadder: that Trump actually believes the lies that he says, or that he's laughed at on a world stage for everyone to see because of it. I suppose I'd go with the latter, only because I'm unfortunately affiliated to this moronic, immature, insecure man-child braggart by proxy. The laughter he got is exactly what he deserves, actual adults laughing at a 70+ year old infant who so desperately wants to be seen as legitimate and superior but is in fact just the opposite. Such preposterous claims he tries to pass off only deserve to be ridiculed and mocked in laughter as they were.

If there's one upside to this presidency, it's that Trump is being exposed on a world stage for the joke he is and always has been, it's just too bad the U.S. is being dragged down with him. This hits Trump exactly where it hurts, even if he acts like it doesn't and goes so far as to try to pass it off as if it was all part of his plan anyway. He can continue to wrap himself in the brainless adulation of his slobbering sycophants in the government and those at his rallies, but when he's not sheltered in his little bubble, everyone else can see right through this conman to what he truly is.....a sad, little pathetic man whose legend exists only in his own delusions and that of his base. Beautiful.

Absolutely false. Trump also ordered our intelligence to cut ties with anti-Assad forces, since many of them were turning to ISIS. Wasn't a bad idea, considering under Trump we've made efforts to strike Assad ourselves, instead of getting a bunch of poorly armed/trained locals to do it.

There was also the massive airstrike increase. From 2014-2016, the coalition made 14,000 airstrikes on ISIS territory. Under Trump, that number nearly doubled (24,500) by August 2017.

Beginning of this year was when 101st airborne deployed to Iraq. This is the "boots on the ground" that Obama wasn't fond of. The 101st cleared ISIS out of Fallujah, almost completely eliminated suicide attacks in Bahgdad, helped liberate around 100 villages, and assisted in the liberation of Mosul.

Its kind of funny to me, as this week I've been in Ecuador and Mexico for work, and all I keep hearing is how their governments have been doing to China what you describe China doing to the US, all in the name of promoting local brands and increasing local jobs. Also, the working people have expressed being all for it, after they got over the price increase, as it raised their income. But hey, maybe that's just the working class of people I associate with in my work travels.

I'll jump on the Trump hatewagon. In the words of Tony Soprano,

He proves it every time he opens his mouth.

Be honest with yourself, LJS is right.

Any criticism of Trump is automatically seen as being synonymous with "Trump Derangement Syndrome". What distinguishes criticism of Trump that you don't immediately conflate and write off as a slight to his lack of personal amicability? Trump, through his dislikable antics, has made himself unimpeachable. I'm curious: who are the people that you deem valid to criticize Trump? Only those that worship him? You seem incapable of listening to any critique of the man because you are incapable of separating what you view as unreasonable hate you see as it being predicated upon as opposed to reasonable criticism.

They sounded like they were laughing at his honesty in saying, "I wasn't expecting that reaction", that's probably what she was alluding to, though yea, not out of respect. Doesn't change the fact that he was laughed at in ridicule initially. Hasn't this guy genuinely compared himself to Lincoln? The degree of delusion necessary to do such a thing is mind-boggling.

The U.N.'s opinion will matter to me once they actually do something useful past the date November 29, 1947.

Is this irony?

Not really. Trump is treated fairly well when he travels abroad. He's not showing up to an empty airport in China, or forced to use back doors in Israel like the supposed great ambassador Obama.

Another upside is that Trump, alongside brexit has heavily discredited this populist right movement.

@heathen75: it's stunning how many real-world events can be linked to simpsons references. :) the writers understood well how the world works.
