Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Pelosi (D-San Francisco) repeatedly made the case against shutting down the government, saying it would only hurt American workers and the economy.

I'd say that it won't happen.

He ceded all of his leverage right off the bat, so someone will talk him down from his ledge.

I feel like I've seen this song and dance before.

It was sad to see him get played so easily on national TV.

It's not sad for a person to be shown for what they are, particularly important people with power. If they're strong of character they should be shown as such, if they are weak it's important to know that information as well.

On a surface level sure, but in reality security is not the point of building a wall. Even though everyone will just swim, fly, climb, and dig around it, republicans want a wall because it stands as a bigly monument to xenophobia and isolationism in a climate of rapid globalization.

Trump clearly can't believe this, he was boasting about our awesome border security and fencing.

Only he called it his border wall instead of very old fencing. I think he's senile.

He's currently threatening to shut down the government. I doubt that it's a good political move though.

Trump doesn't bluff as the travel ban shows. He lashes out and makes a big mess of things.

People still surprised when he carries out his threats are the reason this bufoon keeps getting his way. Dems start taking him serious.
