Trumpers call for Biden's impeachment, but Trump actually released 5000 Taliban prisoners

At this point I don't know if it's that Trump supporters are so misinformed or just the simple fact they view Trump as a god who can do no wrong or not be held to any accountability. What did people think would happen by releasing 5000 Taliban prisoners last year? I've seen people all over Facebook (and politicians) calling for Biden's impeachment to the "disastrous" pullout of Afghanistan. Seriously? "Taliban took over Afghanistan on Biden's watch. Must be Trump's fault."

How about your blundering mindless president take some f**king responsibility? Oh that's right... you Dems just point the finger. "Never my fault".

Biden deserves to be removed but it won't be because of this. It'll be because of his severe mental decline and both President Pelosi (we know who's running the country) and her lap dog, Harris, will happily stab Biden in the back. He probably won't even see it coming.

Love how the borders being open will bring in bad people, criminals, racists, druglords....

.....but y'all pretend there is no consequence to releasing 5000 Taliban prisoners back into the wild.

Maybe you're young and don't understand how things work but when a new presidential term occurs, it is not a clean slate. Everything positive and negative leading up to that point rolls over and consequences follow.

@mysticaldonut: Oh don't worry. You'll be seeing Taliban terrorists coming in via the southern boarder as asylum seekers. Then in a couple years, you'll be seeing them blow up American businesses and monuments. Oh wait... they don't have to as America has their own domestic terrorist organization... BLM... doing exactly the same thing while also chanting "Death to America."

There wasn't a single combat death in Afghanistan since those prisoners were released, up until the withdrawal, which was scheduled for May btw. But Biden arbitrarily extended it, pissing off the Taliban in the process. Looks like a Biden mess to me.

@Telekill: Yes because people who were so desperate to escape the terrorists in their country that they clung to a US aircraft are also, in fact, terrorists themselves. Sound logic

Ever heard the phrase "run silent run deep"? Why would you do any sort of attacking when it's publicly known the US is withdrawing at a given date?

Haha because they knew the US was leaving and troop strength was down to only 2500. Do the math.

High ranking members of the Taliban who have been hiding for years are now appearing in public photos. Honestly I think it would be a great time to to just turn the place into a parking lot while they have their guard down.

Where would the prisoners be now if they hadn't been releases last year? What would the Taliban take over and consequent actions look like?

That's his schtick. He comes in and spams that one liner after someone types a fact he doesn't like. He has used it on me several times after I post peer reviewed studies.

It's just gas lighting.

20 years of war

A few months of Biden.

Yeah it's obviously all his fault :P

*To be clear, I am not really blaming this on anyone; there was no good solution to Afghanistan. This was either going to happen slow or fast and frankly I'm glad it went fast.

lol touche. Though I am not sure the mission during GWB's tenure was the same as it was these past few years. We went from a "get the terrorists" mission to "let's build up Afghanistan", and finally to "Oh shit this isn't going to work"

For bailing out of Afghanistan. closing the embassy and leaving thousands of Americans stranded through out the country. His press sectary just said Biden can't guarantee he will be able to get them out by August 31, 2121. That means we are going to have send a lot of military personnel back to retake areas including the air base we gave up and fight against the Taliban ho we be using our own weapons against us that Biden left behind. This is Biden's doing nobody else's. He onws it no matter how you try to spin it.

Are you conveniently forgetting trump made the agreement with the Taliban, not the Afghan government by the way, released 5000 prisoners which are now in charge, and reduced troop strength to only 2500?

The difference is they attack other people on their home soil and crashed the entire economy. We can't control everyone on their own soil nor should we but we shouldn't let anyone attack us without massive repercussions.

to be honest this whole thing is a disaster, losing so badly to the taliban after trillions of dollars, tens of thousands of american lives, hundreds of thousands of afghan lives, and you go back to point 0. We all wanted a pull out, but not like THIS. It would have been far preferable to not have entered that back water country in the first place.

The thing is, you can't even blame this all on biden, the scope is far too big for one president to take responsibility for. Trump did some stupid things, and believe me, I generally liked a lot of what trump did, but I do accept he made a bunch of mistakes, hes human after all. Then you can go back to Obama, who in fact is a master of foreign policy. He conducted the wars amazingly, very competent and makes both trump and biden look like chump amateurs. At the end of the day though, even though he didn't pull out of afghanistan because he knew the disaster it would be, he knowingly passed the buck so thats on him. Then you can go back to bush and his nonsense war on terrorism, that involved who knows how many different countries. He had no idea wtf he was doing.

Its dishonest to blame it all on biden, but obviously as the sitting president, he should have planned the exit out far better than he did.

Say it However you want, but that's what needs to be said. I've had about enough cultural enrichment from that shitty culture. Let them do what they want as long as they don't **** with us. And if they do make sure they don't do it again.

We tried to rebuild and replace their leadership and 20 years of work was undone in a week.

The difference is they attack other people on their home soil and crashed the entire economy. We can't control everyone on their own soil nor should we but we shouldn't let anyone attack us without massive repercussions.

On the scale of. 40 million people. Here are the top mass murderers in history, look where you would land.

Also, the afghans and they were not responsible for 9/11. They harbored the terrorists afterwards, but they didnt do the actual attack.

You falsey accuse people of destroying the economy, and then look to exterminate them all... I am really disturbed by your beliefs.

@silentchief: Oppressive as it has been. They never commited a genocide of the scale of the largest mass murderers in history, which is what you are advocating for.

The largest mass murderers in history??? Russia?

Pretty sure they don't count acts of war as mass murder. Do you see the allied troops who were killed in WW2 under Hitlers numbers?

The Taliban runs Afghanistan they are in control of the nation. They are responsible for 9/11. They are the group in power and the Afghans couldn't keep them away 1 week after we left. Most of the innocent people you are worried about will be executed in the next few years the other men will be forced to join. You think it's a small minority of the population that's the problem over there, It's not. If it was they wouldn't have took everything back in a week.

Let's kill 40 million people just to get the couple dozen high ranking Taliban members who might not even have any power in the new system.

Lol, the new system!

Bahahaha!

Things will be painfully obvious in the next few years that they haven't changed. At this point I would have a 0 tolerance policy. One attack on are soil from your regime and we will wipe you off the face of the earth.

But nobody is idiotic enough to say that, save keyboard punchers on the internet.

ftfy

Say it However you want, but that's what needs to be said. I've had about enough cultural enrichment from that shitty culture. Let them do what they want as long as they don't **** with us. And if they do make sure they don't do it again.

We tried to rebuild and replace their leadership and 20 years of work was undone in a week.

20 years of work was 1) never really completed and 2) has been unravelling for years.

to think the taliban just popped up, regrouped, and took over the country this month is beyond stupid.

in any case, the world is fortunate people that think like you aren't in many positions of actual power.

It was never completed because the bumbling moron just pulled everyone out.

It hasn't been unraveling for years if anything it had gotten better.

You can Google it yourself the map went red in a week.

More people will think like me in the coming years. Unfortunately your mindset cost us 6000 lives and 89 billion dollars for nothing.

@silentchief: Soldiers? Not likely. Civilians definately. There is a reason Winston Churchill is often listed as well.
