Trumpers call for Biden's impeachment, but Trump actually released 5000 Taliban prisoners

Do you not realize how politics works?

Trump pushed for peace deal the country was not ready for, made the situation even worse, by RELEASING 5000 prisoners, including several high ranking ones. Biden had to do the most of what Trump set up. Trump putting himself above country is a good chunk of why 2021 has been a mess. Biden simply put can't undo everything Trump has done, that is not how legislation, or international diplomacy works.

Trump is literally one of those hunters in WoW who pulls a pack the party can't heal/mitigate through, then blames the tank or healer when the party wipes.

In fact, I wouldnt pin everything on Trump either, like LJS said, this is 20 years of poor foreign policy. It is very likely that the Taliban won, not because they won in terms of armaments, but in terms of ideas. Coalition forces were in there for 20 ideas, enough time to shape the hearts and minds of an entire generation. Yet the Taliban is now bigger than ever, they wouldnt grow this big if they didnt have the support of the people.

Everything I find says otherwise. Especially when you factor in the after effects of radiation.. nothing was close.

Alright, that was a hilarious title CNN, but horrifying at the same time. Its disturbing....part of me wants to go back and send a couple of missles to blow everything up. Theres an estimated 80 billion worth of equipment there, probably more since $1 trillion was spent over the past 20 years. Biden...you done fucked up.

I spent 12 months in Afghanistan with a gun. Been there, done that. But please, let's hear what civilians with no military service, no connection at all to the situation, who only want to twist and contort into a pretzel in an attempt to defend their vote for President think and feel on the matter. It isn't working. Biden is in the medias crosshairs like he's never been. Gone are the days of, "what flavor did you get Mr. President? Is that one scoop or two?"

It's very clear from his posts he's a lost soul. It's possible that one day, him like me, will find the light though. His posts are a hilarious insight into the mind of a liberal and remind me of why I, like many others, walked away from the left. It's easy when you've been on both sides of the spectrum. Trump will leave a mark on the left for years to come, probably until many years after he passes away. Whenever their choice of liberal news tells them it's ok to finally let go and put their focus on someone else. I've never seen people so emotionally hurt and deranged from a politician like this before. The left must learn, you can't win every election. You will lose. Contrary to what your fellow leftists have told you, it's not your world, everything doesn't have to go your way. You will lose to others. They had Obama for 8 years (who I voted for both times) and couldn't fathom a loss, couldn't understand that it doesn't always work out for them. But you better believe the next election when a hard R gets in, it'll be the same mindset. Trumps doing just fine, still richer than you'll ever be, still lived a life of having everything he ever wanted, still held the highest office in the land. And that absolutely crushes lefties to know.

What a crock. What those fighting in Afghanistan are saying is they aren't surprised the Afghan military ran.

Media wants to make money so of course they jump on this though they only look for one point of view and make judgments before it's finished. But Biden didn't agree to take the troops out, trump did. He made an agreement with the Taliban which were threatening violence since the date passed. Trump also reduced the troop strength to only 2500.

One also has to wonder if the delay in transmission should be blamed for some of this. But please continue to push your agenda.

Yea, and I didn't lose my mind over it. I'm not spending the next 4 years blaming Russia or calling for impeachment just because I'm mad I lost. I'm calling on Republicans to be prepared for midterms and the next Presidential election. I don't go to sleep thinking about Biden. I don't wake up thinking about Biden. I don't base every move I make off of a President I dislike. I don't foam at the mouth over anything political. Trump reduced troop levels and this did not impact the Taliban taking over. Trump was President for 4 years, reduced troops, and we didn't have this issue. Why now? Why after Biden is President and removed ALL troops? That's the answer. The answer isn't "well Trump reduced troop levels", cause that caused nothing. Biden said on camera, in front of everyone, that there are 300K Afghan troops and the Taliban couldn't take them on. Biden said that, on camera. So while yes, a lot of people believe the Afghan Army would fold, Biden told everyone they wouldn't. This is the person in charge of the highest position in the US that said his intelligence, his information, his knowledge, is that this wouldn't happen. Biden wanted a headline, but this wasn't the headline he expected.

Several people are mentioning Trump, you're bad at reading comprehension. It counts to actually read before posting. Something liberals don't do much of, reading.

I haven't lost my mind in politics since I was 18 years old and Bush beat Kerry. I'm LMAOing at all of your responses. I find massive levels of being uneducated in them and it provides me with several levels of entertainment...but also sadness for people who also fall into this category.

It may appear that way, but I promise I'm not the slightest angry. Maybe I just talk passionately, but I'm not angry at all. The only thing I'm really even saying about Trump is that his policies don't have to be followed by Biden, which they don't. That's a lazy excuse. And Biden already proved that he doesn't have to do what Trump says by multiple decisions he's made, so he's already done that explaining for me.

I've been on the left, I've been on the right. I know how both mindsets operate and where I'm staying.

What Americans were dying? There hadn't been a death in Afghanistan since Feb 2020. There wasn't constant fighting. Biden had time to execute a better withdrawal. It was bungled. The fact that many liberals are calling this out only highlights it even worse. I am legitimately impressed at the lefts overall response, that this was screwed up, it could have been done better. I never would have thought they would agree with conservatives on this. This is not the news the Biden administration needed. Everyone is in agreement, we needed to pull the final troops out, but this was done poorly. Now you have double the troops in Afghanistan then there was, and not only that, you have international troops back in the mix. This put not only US troops in danger, but others too.

There wasn't? From 2016 thru 2020 there wasn't? I mean that's all you heard for that entire time, BEFORE Trump even took office they tried to have the certification of the results stopped. Impeach, impeach! Every time Trump took a breath, IMPEACH! Literally, every single day I saw liberals in comments everywhere discussing how he needed removed, impeached, on and on and on, every single day. I follow enough news to know. The amount of conservatives that are acting like liberals did for an entire 4 years isn't even near the same level. It isn't even close.
