@sakaixx: I am trying to game, and your ignorance is really annoying.

If you read the full document it instead f your one specific page. It clearly shows the Jews were willing to accept the 20-80 split. The only part of the peel commission Jews rejected and they didn’t even reject it, they decided to negotiate was a 5-95 split. Arabs rejected everything. So again, the Jews if you read the document accepted the 20% (land belonging to Jews) and 80% (land belonging to Arabs) split.

https://youtu.be/O7ByJb7QQ9U

https://youtu.be/Y3_5nTRu0O8

https://fathomjournal.org/mandate100-a-clean-cut-for-palestine-the-peel-commission-reexamined/

https://ecf.org.il/media_items/290

It’s all in the document.

the Peel Commission concluded, would be to create two independent states – one for the Jews, and one for the Arabs. A two-state solution. The suggested split was heavily in favor of the Arabs. The British offered them 80 percent of the disputed territory; the Jews, the remaining 20 percent. Yet, despite the tiny size of their proposed state, the Jews voted to accept this offer. But the Arabs rejected it and resumed their violent rebellion. Rejection number one.

Ten years later, in 1947, the British asked the United Nations to find a new solution to the continuing tensions. Like the Peel Commission, the UN decided that the best way to resolve the conflict was to divide the land.

On November 7, 1947, the UN voted to create two states. Again, the Jews accepted the offer. And again, the Arabs rejected it, only this time, they did so by launching an all-out war. Rejection number two.

Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria joined the conflict. But they failed. Israel won the war, and got on with the business of building a new nation. Most of the land set aside by the UN for an Arab state – the West Bank and east Jerusalem – became occupied territory; occupied not by Israel, but by Jordan.

Twenty years later, in 1967, the Arabs, led this time by Egypt and joined by Syria and Jordan, once again sought to destroy the Jewish State.

The 1967 conflict, known as the Six Day War, ended in a stunning victory for Israel. Jerusalem and the West Bank, as well as the area known as the Gaza Strip, fell into Israel’s hands. The government split over what to do with this new territory. Half wanted to return the West Bank to Jordan and Gaza to Egypt in exchange for peace. The other half wanted to give it to the region’s Arabs, who had begun referring to themselves as the Palestinians, in the hope that they would ultimately build their own state there.

Neither initiative got very far. A few months later, the Arab League met in Sudan and issued its infamous “Three No’s:” No peace with Israel. No recognition of Israel. No negotiations with Israel. Again, a two-state solution was dismissed by the Arabs, making this rejection number three.

They turned down 2 opportunities to have there own independent state since 2000.

This is all religion BS, it’s not about Palestine it’s about Islam. They want Jews out.

@nintendoboy16: And you're pissy about him because he thinks political opinions should be left out of gaming where they are completely irrelevant? I agree with him, most people don't give a **** about politics and sure as shit don't want it forced down their throats when all they want to do is play a game to relax.

We see what side Biden is on. Biden just approved 735 million dollars of arms sale to Israel. At least I agree with him on that.

What did you expect from a political insider that has been in office for half a century? I'd also expect a new war in the Middle East soon as that is the status quo he represents.

@nintendoboy16: Are you really surprised Biden would take Israel's side? It's pretty well known that most American politicians have their heads up Israel's arse. Makes very little difference if they're Democrats or Republicans, except Republicans are a bit deeper up Israel's arse.

*sigh*

I guess I can get behind this though. As @Stevo_the_gamer they're pretty much the only bastion of "freedom" over there. I just wish they weren't such assholes about it.

When Israel says it has the "right to exist" what they really mean is the "right to exist as a Jewish supremacist ethno-nationalist apartheid state denying citizenship and equal rights to the vast majority of Palestinians it rules over." That's where the problem lies. But so many Americans have their heads so far up Israel's arse that they're not even willing to acknowledge the problem.

US and western nations like Europe, as well as eastern powers, like Russia, China, should just stay out of the Middle East entirely. To say Israel is the only hope for a modern and free country just isn't true. There's a number that are fairly "modern", many more making strides in that direction, and when we look at many of them, there once was a time where they were quite modern even by today's standards, Iran included.

But the western side funds their proxies, the eastern side theirs, much of it is just to feed the MIC, always has been, and we send a number of those places back to the dark age, or the Russians do it because both sides have learned that proxy wars are profitable. Neither of us needs or even wants the oil or resources, it's all about selling weapons to two sides, let them blow up all their bombs on eachother and come back and buy more.

Groups like Al Qaeda, Taliban, ISIS, HAMAS, these aren't grass roots religious based movements, they're funded and trained almost entirely by outside, third parties. The average Jew and the average Palestinian muslim would probably get along otherwise. It's more of a case of divisive politics than religion or ethnicity, or whatever other excuse people wish to make for either side.

Not really, but I was hoping for a bit more a change, given several Dems want nothing to do with Israel, let alone Netanyahu. Hell, some Dems ain't happy about it right now. Tim Kaine in particular.

@eoten: The claims of Israel being "free" and "democratic" are so laughably false. If a country denies voting rights to the majority of its population, that's not a democracy. A country is only a democracy if the majority of the population have a right to vote. In the lands claimed by Israel, the vast majority of Palestinians have zero right to vote in Israeli elections. Meanwhile, the vast majority of Palestinians are denied basic freedoms. It's not a "free" country when "freedom" is selectively reserved for certain ethnic groups and denied to ethnic groups you dislike. Israel is an apartheid state, not a "free" democracy.

@nintendoboy16: I remember a few years ago when the US Congress held a vote over whether boycotting Israel constitutes "antisemitism". The vast majority (something like 95%) voted that yes, boycotting Israel is "antisemitism". That's how deeply ingrained Zionism is in US politics. A few Dem members aren't going to change that.

As far as UK politics go on this side of the pond, the majority of UK politicians are also generally pro-Israel, but there is a large faction of UK Labour MPs who are very critical of Israel, which led to Conservatives pulling the bullshit "antisemitism" card. Still, that's a lot better than the situation in the US, which is almost completely one-sided in Israel's favour

@Jag85: Well then, the U.S. and UK need to re-evaluate what it means to be anti-Semitic because calling out war crimes shouldn't be it. Ilhan Omar, hypocritical she is, has been wrongly accused of being an anti-Semite every time she says something on Netanyahu.

By that logic, calling out the CCP makes us Sinophobes.

@nintendoboy16: Exactly. Politicians rarely ever pull the "Sinophobia" or "Islamophobia" cards when it comes to criticizing political regimes like China or Saudi Arabia. But when it comes to criticizing Israel, politicians keep pulling the "Antisemitism" card. Pro-Israel politicians keep erroneously conflating the Israeli political regime with the Jewish ethno-religious group.

The political elites which comprise of the mass majority of politicians on both sides couldn't care less what you or anyone else thinks. They intentionally create divisiveness through wedge issues because you'll elect them not because they're going to do what you say or because you're going to like their policies, but because the other choice is someone from the other team that those divisive wedge issues has convinced you is worse. So with that, do any of them really have to run on good policy, or living up to campaign promises? People will vote for them purely because of which team they are on.

I would say be more active in the primary to actually get a choice between good candidates for a change, but campaigns are very expensive to run, and when the status quo politicians have so many allies in media, in big tech, and in the corporate interest, it's virtually impossible for anyone not part of that status quo to have a chance at running against a candidate backed by the parties, making it virtually impossible to hold them accountable in a way elections are supposed to.

Vice News did a great job no, incredible job documenting the crisis in East Jerusalem. Implore everyone to watch the video to get the understanding of what the Palestinian side faces in this conflict. Quite heartbreaking too, oh may not suitable for everyone due to violence depicted.

On the one hand, Zionists are assholes. On the other, anyone should know better than to build something holy on top of someones else's something holy.

Islamists, Zionists. Both are the problem here. I have no qualms with Israel or Palestine. And I recognize both as nations.

Is it really all that surprising that America still throws its support to a country like Israel? America was supportive of South Africa's apartheid regime for years.

That's also false. Hamas is considered a terrorist organization by more than those two countries.

As long as current leadership in Israel and Palestine is alive, there will be no peace.

Netanyahu will literally not recognize Palestine as long as he is alive. He is a soldier that did special ops raids against civilians. he is a terrible, terrible person with way too much charisma and, contradictorily, not a single diplomatic bone in his body.

It should also be noted that Netanyahu is arguably not the rightful leader of Israel. Those poor bastards in Israel have had about 20 elections in 10 years and Netanyahu got like 30% of the vote but is somehow still in power. Whenever you think we had it bad with Trump, think of Israel's political situation and it will make you feel better.

Likewise, Hamas is a terrorist organization that just casually launches rockets at Israel, hoping to destroy civilians. They have no desire to help anything, they just want to keep kicking the hornet's nest.

The misanthrope in me says we should evacuate these holy sites and blow them up.

You know, like when two kids are fighting over something and the parent comes in and takes it away and is like "Now you both don't get it".

It couldn't make the situation any worse.
