Why do people slander/libel Jews? Jealousy?

I am so sick of reading critiques of Israel (home of God’s chosen people) online. I vote for progressive candidates yet Trump’s shitshow of a presidency leads to Jews living in terror.

Israel gets a lot of criticism because it's a state sponsor of terror, and its corrupt and immoral government.

They tend to be over represented in many fields which allows people to rationalize many ideas that they have. So it could be jealousy and/or a scapegoat for their own situation.

The Talmud doesn't help either.(Even if most American Jews are secular). There are many writings in it that really don't look good through our modern lense.

That right there shows quite a lot of assumptions considering there is 0 evidence for it.

You are tired of hearing critiques of some religious nation... Well I am tired of religion getting the free pass, and THEY ALL DO, not just one, or the other. All faiths are over coddled.

My father says the persecution they endure is the cost of being chosen. If that's the case, I'm sure glad I'm not held in God's esteem.

Criticizing that countries goverment is not attacking judaism.

I focused on the question asked in the Title of the thread but you do make a good point.

The OP trying to compare criticism of Israel to slander or libel against Jews in general is weak.
