You're a blue stater. You have abortion access. Why so pent up over red states' lack of access?

Because you're making the flawed assumption that there are "Blue" and "Red" states. That's a stupid division pushed onto us by the media and other dumb Ed U grads that try to simplify and label the complex population that exists in each state. There are plenty of pro-choice people living in supposed "red" states. Many states flip flop from election to election. So it's fairly natural for people to be upset when rights are stripped away from their fellow countrymen regardless of whether it personally affects them.

Because I care about women and the encroachment on our rights from the American religious right. Nothing but a bunch of moron zealots.

Killing babies is all right according to you.

Of course not, and abortion isn't killing babies. But please keep clutching those pearls as you condemn children to a life of poverty, so that you can teach the mother a lesson about promiscuity.

Abortion is being used as tool to keep from taking responsibility for their actions. Their cry is " my body my choice" they can also prevent themselves from becoming pregnant. Wanting the right to kill babies right at the moment of birth is murder no matter how you look at it.

Oh, this one should make the backwards red staters upset.

US government tells hospitals they must provide abortions in cases of emergency, regardless of state law (msn.com)

Some people care about the suffering of others. It's called empathy, or "woke" if you are right-wing.

On the contrary, pregnancy is being used to control women by the likes of yourself and the rest of the religious right. It's not about life, never has been, never will be. It's control.

If it were about life you wouldn't condemn a child born to a poor mother forced to carry, only as means of punishment. You've already admitted to the latter. It's time to man up and drop this schtick of 'pro-life', which you most certainly are not.

The suffering of others? What the hell are you even talking about? The vast majority of abortions are done for convenience. Do you understand the meaning of that word? Used as a form of birth control instead of prevention. Nobody is "suffering" because they'll have to choose prevention over homicide.

You people have a problem with it because the media you listen to told you to, not because any of you put any actual thought into it, and citing empathy to pretend your position is a morally superior one and gives you justification to force states to abide by rules the citizens don't want is just being disingenuous and totalitarian.

Well I live in OH where they reinstated the heart beat bill so you can't get an abortion after six weeks. Most women don't even know they're pregnant at this point.

Well, other people aren't in the vast majority, and I don't really have a problem with people who don't want kids deciding not to have them, either. It's not like it affects my life, and I'm capable of minding my own business and letting them live the life they want to.

it's also not a heart beating, rather barely detectable electrical impulses from cells that, given more time to mature, would form into a heart organ. the use of the word "heartbeat" is specifically designed to trick people and tug on their emotions.
