There are a few gems on the Xbox that stand out, but it would be difficult to say they would put the console above the others in the generation. The third party games mostly look the same owing to just porting games around and not bothering to use any of the features, and in fact sometimes they ran worse on the Xbox when they took advantage of the PS2's strengths. One of the big examples at the time of an important game was MGS2.
Games where it looked/ran better on Xbox was mostly lost because everyone was on SDTVs or it was just a game nobody cared about like Wreckless the Yakuza Missions or Malice.
It did some remarkable things like Half Life 2, Doom 3, and Morrowind, but these were niche at the time because these types of games were less familiar on the console and still had to break through to the mainstream, but they were laying the foundation. Still, it wasn't the greatest experience playing Half Life 2 around 15fps and listening to the hard drive constantly grinding and sounding like it was about to fail.
It's easy to have fond memories of all gaming platforms back then though, they each had something unique to offer in their libraries.
